Navy and administration sources said that though the banner was the Navy's idea, the White House actually made it.
I served in the USMC, it is not often that the White House makes a "Mission Accomplished" banner for display when you are coming off a 6-9 month float.
That explains a lot. You've likely never been there
Your batting 0% today brother. I live a few miles from Walt Disney World (I can be on Disney property in 10 minutes) and have Annual passes for the whole family. We are there a lot. I just watched Shrek 2 last and the kingdom of Far Far Away is what is stuck in memory. I guess I need to watch Shrek 1 again and look closer for the Disney spoofs.
Kinda like how the Shrek 2 DVD forces you to watch the previews before you can get to the menu.
I just got Shrek 2 and that got me really mad. I was hitting the menu button like a mad-man. I took the DVD and created a backup without CSS, region coding, macrovision or the ads, so Disney can kiss my @ss.
Then one of their competitors implements the same savings and a higher discount, drawing back those customers who left and yet more. Again, the customer wins and the economy is more efficient.
Unless you get companies that work together and price-fix. Then the whole "efficient capitalism" thing goes down in flames.
See, people like you fail to see the big picture. You want to have your cake and eat it too. You don't want companies you BUY from to make any profit at all
See, people like you like to over-generalize and try to put people into categories to fit your point. Please tell me where in my post I said I don't want companies to make a profit? I _want_ companies to make profits, that will enhance my 401k. What I don't like are shady business practices. Don't offer me a rebate hoping that I don't use it. How about offering a good product at a competitive price and letting informed customers make a choice?
The "convenience" for the customer is that the customer is often lead to believe that all the cost savings will be passed down to them. It is really funny if anyone thinks that a company is going to pass on cost savings to their customers. Cost savings go right into the hands of the "big" execs and share holders.
If all they're interested in is selling $10,000 home theaters I think you're going to see a lot of Best Buys closing down
That is not the case. "Best" Buy wants customers that spend money in their stores and _never_ return an item. They want customers that do not compain, customers that are 100% happy with any crap "Best" Buy sells them.
I hope "Best" Buy goes down hard. They don't give one crap about their customers. "Best" Buy doesn't even come close to having the "Best" prices on items. Compare "Best" Buy with online-retailers, and you will see that "Best" Buy doesn't even come close in price.
I have never played EverQuest. However, I am an old-school RPG fan. I really miss the old D&D games like Secrets of the Silver Blade. The graphics were bad, but the game play and story were great. Most of the modern day "RPG" are not even close to being a real "RPG", they are just click-a-thons. Does EverQuest allow for turn based combat so you can plan your attacks, or is it just another click-a-thon? I would love to play a modern-day RPG that was not all about online gaming and clicking-as-fast-as-you-can.
Since when can someone go to prison for copyright violation? It is not a criminal offense. Or did the politicians get bought out so bad that you can no go to jail for copyright violation?
They don't do that. No p2p user has been sued for downloading. Most people could argue Fair Use with regards to why the downloaded XYZ. They bought an album and it got scratched, etc. What p2p users get sued for is uploading. While Fair Use may allow you to download a digital copy of content you have purchased, it does not allow you to distribute or upload that content. Uploading is where the copyright infringement comes into play.
I use Azuerus the Java BitTorrent client. It uses PeerGuardian's IP DB to block the RIAA/MPPA/Etc IP's. One weird thing I just noticed is that the Azuerus site is gone and Google no longer shows it as a top hit. Does anyone know if Azuerus was taken down?
No it is not. BitTorrent is not illegal. There are tons of non-infringing uses for BitTorrent. Any lawyer can prove that to any judge in the USA. Just because copyright violation is illegal doesn't mean that BitTorrent is illegal. If BitTorrent were illegal, that would make ANY software/hardware illegal that could "induce" copyright violation. That would include MS Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, any computer, any DVD recorder, any VHS player/recorder, etc.
Gmail is in beta. They do have an email that you can send requests to. Shoot them an email. If they get enough requests for a feature, they will certainly implement it.
Gmail supports filters now. Why don't you just create a filter for each mailing list and then each mailing list will bypass the inbox and go directly to whatever label you give it.
Maybe I am going to fast for you, and if so, I apologize. By aligned I am talking about the percentages. As for the 2000 election I said that they were still off, though the percentages were much closer then they have been for many prior elections.
Check the supported Apps on the CrossOver Office site. I have had no problems with it. In fact, Walt Disney's animation department was one of several that funded Codeweavers to get Photoshop working (Penguin Moves to Disney)

OK, so Dreamworks can kiss my butt. Either way it is the same, some movie company trying to force advertising on customers.
Two days ago at McDonald's. Their order screen had a big blue screen. I wish I had my camera with me.
"Yes", I "know". However, "I" don't think "it" is as "insightful" as "someone" who "replies" to "whine" about "it".
The "convenience" for the customer is that the customer is often lead to believe that all the cost savings will be passed down to them. It is really funny if anyone thinks that a company is going to pass on cost savings to their customers. Cost savings go right into the hands of the "big" execs and share holders.
What is wrong with the world we live in when "Customers" actaully want to get a fair price and good product for their moeny. Shame on them.
I hope "Best" Buy goes down hard. They don't give one crap about their customers. "Best" Buy doesn't even come close to having the "Best" prices on items. Compare "Best" Buy with online-retailers, and you will see that "Best" Buy doesn't even come close in price.

Where was I trolling in my post? Usually Google will pick up the spelling error, but this time it did not and didn't provide any links to Azureus.

Bush has very good morals : )

Yes, I was basing my information on last nights CNN data.
I got my information from here
1980 - 538 Electoral Votes
Ronald Reagan 50%/Pop 90.5%/EVotes (EVotes do not come close to pop vote)
Jimmy Carter 45%/Pop 9.1%/EVotes
John B. Anderson 5%/Pop 0%/EVotes
1984 - 538 Electoral Votes
Ronald Reagan - 59.2%/Pop - 97.5%/EVotes (EVotes do not come close to pop vote)
Walter F. Mondale - 40.8%/Pop - 2.5%/EVotes
1988 - 537 Electoral Votes
George H. Bush - 53.8%/Pop - 79.3%/EVotes (EVotes do not come close to pop vote)
Michael S. Dukakis - 46.2%/Pop - 20.7%/EVotes
1992 - 538 Electoral Votes
William J. Clinton - 43.3%/Pop - 68.8%/EVotes (EVotes do not come close to pop vote)
George H. Bush - 37.7%/Pop - 31%/EVotes
H. Ross Perot - 19%/Pop - 0%/EVotes
1996 - 538 Electoral Votes
William J. Clinton - 50%/Pop - 70.5%/EVotes (EVotes do not come close to pop vote)
Robert J. Dole - 41.5%/Pop - 29.5%/EVotes
H. Ross Perot - 8.5%/Pop - 0%/EVotes
2000 - 537 Electoral Votes (One elector left her ballot blank to protest Congress)
George W. Bush - 48.4%/Pop - 50.5%/EVotes (Should have lost due to pop votes)
Albert A. Gore - 48.9%/Pop - 49.5%/EVotes
Ralph Nader - 2.7%/Pop - 0%/EVotes
2004 - 526 (really 538 but CNN is not showing all) Electoral Votes

As you can see, the Electoral votes have not aligned with the popular votes since at least 1980. It wasn't until 2000 that the EVotes aligned with the Pop votes, however they were still of and won the election for Bush.
That was the situation when I last check the stats last night on CNN.
