Ah, but I would be wanting the operator to take notice of any flashing lights or alarms. In a situation like that it would be a good idea if someone took notice of an alarm going off.
That can already happen. I have had my phone reject sms messages from people I know because I have been sent advertising rubbish via sms. My phone only accepts a fixed number of sms. Once that limit is reached it won't receive anymore until some of the existimg message are deleted.
It was the phone company doing it.
I have my proxy changing the user agent to Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98; Win 9x 4.90) which I got from a window me box. I get told to bugger off as well. Using mozilla 0.9.4.
It is something I want to look more closely at. I like the pre-emptive + lock-break kernel on the desktop so I tried it on a small server. With Postgreslql the initial results were that with a standard 2.4.18 kernel the database was slightly faster. A rebuild of the database from the raw data was about 3 seconds quicker over a 4 minute time period. The search I was doing normaly takes about 14 seconds. Using the pre-emptive kernel the search takes 16 seconds.
I made a cpu load indicator for my server using 10
leds driven by a spare printer port. The code I wrote
samples every second then sets the appropriate
number of leds. It is setup so the leds stay on for that
period. This gets rid of any transients in the cpu load
while giving a usefull indication of the load.
When new games here cost $90 - $100 and I have never seen any titles that I want for linux why buy them?
I would not call stingy not wanting to pay good money for unwanted games.
Does not matter whether the box is tickered or cleared on my wifes machine. The test site for that still gives the same number. This also applies after reboots.
I had thought about having my vhf radio ready. Maybe my 29MHz gear as well. The propagation provided my meteor showers is something I still have to experience.
Not everyone uses one of those browsers. At the moment I am using Knoqueror. I know people that still use Netscape 3.x. So in that case you could be blocking legitament people.
I think it is great that the peak is predicted for the night before my birthday. I have already had people wanting to know if they can visit that night.
Hoping for a good show as I am on a property away from the city lights in Australia.
I actually thought you were joking until I read the faq myself.

Cool, it finally hit me what your signature means.

In Australia we pay to make calls on our mobile phone and incoming calls are free. This way makes a bit more sense to me.
Add slashdot.org to your list as it is now listed on that site.
I bet your browser still gives the right thing in Javascript, tho.
That would explain it.
Both share my email and registration details were both checked for me.

Renders fine using Konqueror.
Have a closer look at your linux cds. Linuxconf is there.

Give it another go. I am using the nvidia 2313 drivers with a pre-emptive 2.4.18 kernel

Why apt-get? Why not urpmi?
The article was talking about current/recent versions of IE.

With the last shower I was hoping for a good show for my birthday. All I got were clouds as well.
