There is no need to write resize code in.Net. It's obvious that you have never tried WinForms in.Net, I dought if you even know how to program. A just a waste of time responding to a coward anyway.
Just different cats in the big house. The existance of Microsoft has more to do with the economic system than any evil streak bill may have. The computer industry is still like the auto industry in the 40's and 50's. A lot of variety with a number of big players and some significant small players. In time it will just be a few big players. As for inovation that has never been recognized by the market and never will, only grand marketing seems to move the masses. A same old same old.
To quote "To me C is dead." Since he is an accomplished C/C++ programmer, that now has developed a compiler in C#, I think his statement refers to his own personal programming practices not that of the world. Of course the fact that I have both a BA and a BSc may be clouding my perspective.
Now if someone could make a style sheet that I can run locally in firebird that makes IE specific web pages appear less broken would be a help. Then I wouldn't even have to use the Open Link in IE context menu anymore.
On that note has anyone experienced links when viewed in Mozilla/Firebird that don't work that work fine in IE. I still haven't bothered to see what that is all about.
Rebooted was good, but rebloaded has got to be my favorite. All joking aside they may really have a reason for wanting to do this. Currently I have been evaluating the new windows 2003 for the company I work for. We are an M$ partner in crime. Anywho my point is when I installed 2003 the first thing that struck me was how fast and responsive it was. Not just compared to a XP install, but while running a webserver, dns, and all sorts of other extra server process that have no business running on a desktop it runs faster then w2k pro. If they can make the XP client run a bit quicker, especially running.net apps it may be a good thing.
And I am sure making a few exta million to this is not a bad thing from their perspective.
Personally I am more concerned about the influence Oil companies, and banks have over the UN then some software companies.
The problem with political geeks is that their view seldom goes beyond the link in their belly button.
Fedora is scheduled for april, Debian and Suse by the summer. Start preparing now for the new install.
I wonder how much Kazaa has to do with this

In my experience I see more viruses on machines that also have some sort of P2P or Aim software installed. This virus was putting a copy in the users Kazaa share. There is huge issues with this stuff, but the media continues just to talk about email.
That is the old namda eml file exploit, which has been fixed in IE and Outlook. This exploit is harder to fix. This has to do with Windows COM and that components contain a class id or guid that identifies what type of file it is. Also in this case it is an html executable or.hta file not an exe, IE can't run an exe as a component. It has nothing to do with the mime type.
Of course you would get this from reading the article. Now how you got the high rating is the another issue. I guess it is true nobody here actually reads the article. Hell I'm going back to fark.
This is just another flavour of side by side installation that MS has been promoting since Win 2000. In this case they are talking exclusively about.NET assemblies which side by side installations have always been a feature. With Win 2000 developers have had the option of protecting there applications from their application being broken by later installs of other application or server packs. While this can lead to some redundancy it is a trade off with your app not working. While dll hell will never totally go away the current state of MS development for Win 2000 is way ahead of what we had to deal with in NT 4 and 95.
All systems have problems with how to implement them in a predicatable and sensible way. I have had many issues with updating libs on my Linux install to the point of making many apps unusable. Yes I know I suck as a Linux admin, but then again that is not what I do. I know my weaknesses unlike most of the 4+ posters to this MS bashfest.
Nothing new here just a opportunity for people who know nothing about development or are just crappy MS developers given an opportunity to display their ignorance.
I started my current job that I found on Monster.ca. I was let go from a dot bomb two year ago and landed this job that I hope to have many years to come. Some of my friends have been looking for two years and I have passed their resumes to my employer and clients. I do agree that if all you are doing is responding to ads you will be looking for a long time, but don't discount it. There are many options to use when looking for work. The best advice is use them all.
He was part of a Internet backing project for a large European bank. This bank was one of the first to offer services over the Internet. He always used cash and did all of his banking with a real live teller. He didn't have any credit or banking cards. I think that says a lot.
I have been doing Internet based development exclusively for four plus years. I still do not use Internet banking. People are so willing to jump to use any service that makes thing easy without thinking about any potential consequences.
I think I have to find a new job, because I think people are too stupid to use computers. Sad but true.
But there are all kinds of design and program errors that can happen in any complex system, and that's probably what accounts for a lot of the parasomnias.
Haven't used office 2003 and sharepoint services have you?
I find it interesting.

How can bill sleep at night and all that IE revenue lost.
It must be that they are dealing with you on their own time, or maybe just ignoring you all together.
Email is a cop out when you don't have the guts to talk to the person.
oh educate us oh mighty one.
the flowchart lie
doesn't mean you know anything about it.
Why is everyone looking at me? Did I says something stupid....
again?

produce more garbage that we don't know what to do with. Been to China lately?

He just lives on another planet.
Were did I say anything about my credit cards?
Yes there are potential consequences with every action, but Internet banking doesn't solve any problems for me so why use it.
The rest of your post didn't make any sense so I'll stop now.
He was only stealing from students. How much do you think he would find. ;^)
