    Perhaps he was picking his battles, so to speak, and not falling into a pre-determined camp. Maybe he is genuinely anti-drug but pro-firearms. There's no reason that one has to imply the other. Anti-drug people don't have to be anti-gun and pro-(life|choice). Sandboxing is popular among Americans, too. Polarization is a popular pasttime these days.

    Just a thought....

    No, no, they'll just make him into a PowerMaster, since the fuel there is poisoned. Of course, he and the powermaster engine Hi-Q become psychically bonded or some shit and then he goes to Cybertron to become the resurrection of Optimus. #80 was a good ending.

    Right. Until the "next thing" from Microsoft comes along and forces you to change to something else and reinvent the wheel. Perl, C, etc. haven't changed (on the whole) for 10 (perl and 30 (c) years. Folks buying into the Microsoft propraganda get what they deserve, having to re-write everything from scratch again and again; this includes businesses.

    So... Google News, Google Base, Google Labs, Google Sets....all those should be forbidden? If no one tests it, then no bugs will be found. Linus explained that quite succinctly during the 2.5 development time. Hence the current 2.6.x.y pattern.

    Sprint/Nextel is keeping iDEN for the Direct Connect service, while migrating the voice portion over to CDMA. The data services are likely to bounce to the horrific EV-DO mess, however. iDEN for data works very very well since it's built into the protocol. Oh well.

    But that's the Direct Connect and voice migration path. They aren't idiots in those board rooms. They know that iDEN is *the* way to go for PTT service. I'll jump onboard with voice over CDMA despite it's shortcomings.
