I hate annoying ads as much as the next person but I don't think that makes it illegal. Let's take a look at the ads they have listed.
'Your computer is currently broadcasting an internet IP address. With this address, someone can immediately begin attacking your computer.'
'Your current connection may be capable of faster speeds. Download InternetBoost now.'
'Your Internet Connection is not optimized. Download InternetBoost 2001 now.'
I don't see how those are all that deceptive except for maybe the last one since I seriously doubt they check to make sure your 'Internet Connection is not optimized'.
Oh but it looks like a Windows message. I guess by that logic we should file a class action suit against Walmart for all their generic brands products that look like the non-generic version. Or maybe we should sue McDonalds because their Big n Tasty looks bigger and tastier in the commercials. We all know Hamburglar is a thief, why wouldn't he try to rip us off?
Seems kind of hypocritical to me that most people here are pro-lawsuit on this issue but then on most other issues are all worried about government control and frivalous lawsuits.

I second that motion. I used to be excited about Taken but after the Farscape fiasco, I decided no more Sci-Fi channel for me.
In fact, I moved shortly after Farscape when on hiatus so I didn't even bother blowing the $50/mo on cable after that. Sure, I may only get 3 channels with my crappy antenna but I get Enterprise and Simpsons... not much else on that I care to watch:)

My bank has never supported Mozilla. I get a page telling me to 'upgrade' to IE or NS 4.7 because 'these browsers are more secure'.
Now on to the next issue, why would you need a quick start for Phoenix.. it's not fast enough already?:)
"We believe we have certain rights as a corporation to use this information,"
Ok, so since I pay them for a service, they have a right to tell everyone what I do with it. That sounds like a great idea.. just think how much doctors could make from insurance companies by telling them about their patients with severe medical problems. I bet Verizon Internet could make some good money selling people's web browsing habits too.
I'm so sick of spam and telemarketers and all the other leeches that try to make a buck by selling my information.
1. give it internet access so we can keep up with slashdot while grocery shopping
2. install a gps tracker so stores can find all the stolen carts sitting out in an open field or being used to carry all of someone's possesions
3. now those people mentioned in #2 get free internet access too!
seriously though, my walmart used to have shopping carts with calculators (which I thought was kind of handy) but they got rid of all of them for presumably a good reason... so why would they get shopping carts which are even more complicated
oh that's right, they're showing Stargate reruns in place of Farscape until the next new episode in January. I still don't understand how doing that is supposed to be good for a show.. it's like they're trying to kill it off.
just wait untill the boss finds out that your spending your payed hours learning how to code when school should have taght it to you...
ok, I don't know if you're a troll or just a total fucking tard with no clue of how things work in the real world but here's my thoughts..
In my job, I write stuff in PL/SQL, C on Unix, Cobol on Unix, shell scripts on Unix, Perl on Unix, Cobol on VMS, DCL on VMS, C and batch scripts on DOS/Windows, HTML and Javascript.
That doesn't even touch on the different systems I have to understand or my hobbies like PHP and Postgres.
And you're telling me I should be a 100% expert in each of those so I never have to look in a manual?
My company buys us books so we can look stuff up and make sure we're doing it right. just wait until the boss finds out his paycheck is half what it should be because you didn't look up how to do something that you weren't sure about.
computer for a secretary? nice idea but I'm sure that would upset lots of people (i.e. think how this would have affected Bill Clinton)
ok.. it's friday and i'm bored..

Sure it looks neat, but what about the always full coffee mug. That's gotta come in handy for all night coding/gaming.

On another note, someone mentioned the article on Intel's site but I didn't see a link directly to it so here it is:

They have nice big pictures there so you can actually tell what those dial looking things are.
