The image "http://i.tuxgames.com/lgpcomp/comp.jpg" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I'm guessing this means the game is going to be a mmorpg, possibly a linux port of WoW.

Blizzard would like to thank you for your patience, but you can not play the game you pay a monthly fee for at this time, due to our servers being unable to cope with current load. Please try making another charactor on a different server and wasting even more time playing WoW. Thank you, your custom is important to us.

...that it costs more to develope new technology than it does to release the technology you've developed...

even if they didn't try to keep a given technology secret, it would still cost them more to develope it, than it would to release it.

then if you add in the cost of activly performing a task (ie keeping certain information secret) vs the cost of not performing a task, of course its going to be more expensive to perform a task, when the alternate option is simply not performing the task...

its like acting surprised that it costs more to go and buy a tv, than it does to not go and buy a tv :-/

well, if these are people blocking large ip ranges from accessing their home/residential machines: sure whatever..go ahead guys do what you want..try blocking EVERY ip and just whitelisting countries you like if thats what floats your boat

if these are serveradmins blocking large ip ranges from accessing either their own buisness or their clients buisness website: enjoy being fired and/or your company loosing out on large blocks of contracts for hosting when knowledge of your practice of doing this becomes available to customers.

  5. The Good Old Days (tm) on A Day in the Life of a Nigerian Scammer · · Score: 1

What ever happened to the good old days where you got 419 scams via your fax instead of via email ?

Because that atleast always gave you the option of sending the scammer a fax of 3 peices of a4 paper taped together back, which if you used white paper didn't really do much to his ink or paper load, but did keep their fax busy for however long it took them to figure out they stopped getting money a few hours ago.

Ok, i noticed noone else has mentioned this before, but is the surgery he is undergoing classed as "exparamental research and data collection" ? cause if its not and its simply testing a prototype or installing a working version, why is he getting military grade tech ?
as far as i know (and i'm into this stuff so i try to keep up with it) the only organisation to have a working prototype capable of showing more than 8 blocks by 8 blocks in 4 colours is the militry for their urban attack and counter terrorest project...
