I think the idea of stealing and then trying to convince others not to steal it from you is original Bill Gates' idea, stolen from him by talented followers.
How about collapsing/expanding comment feature that most modern editors have? If you collapse all your comments, you can see code fine, but the comments are still here for those who need them.
My own observation is that most people tend to throw "Scissors" at the first time. So, the "Rock" is more likely to win. This is because if you look at your hand's position for every figure, you can see, that "Rock" is completely closed hand, "Paper" -- completely open. "Scissors" is the average, that is why average person chooses it.
I wonder what Microsoft gains in fighting over this case? While court can prohibit integration of MsPlayer with windows, they can't force microsoft to sell it. They can still make it available for download for free and everyone will still choose it.
I guess this is good. At least now i can easily get a domain name I want, if the sucker don't use it. I now quite a few domain names that are not really used but registered "just in case"
...his business will definitely cost a lot more than M$ offered.
Even if Microsoft does win this case, this guy's business won't lose a cent, vice versa -- it will profit greatly from it.
This law is true to the extent to which we beleive in it. In fact one can make the field progressing even faster. But nothing will be an obstacle as long as we beleive in this law. The physics will recede, if we want it to.
And I have an IT job here (I'm a Python programmer) for just $400/month. I understand, that this is not the European country or something, but for that amount of money I can't even afford myself a separate apartment. I'm a student and live in dorm. (You have to see dorms here) How can I dream about family or something? Normal 2room apartment in Moscow is around $500/month. So, I have to try really hard to make enough money here.
This won't eliminate spam, though it will reduce the amount of it. And this can allow web services providers to make more money, but who will pay me? The enduser, who still will be reading that crap...
What so "good" about cracking that DB? If they wanted to prove that it is not secure, they could have offered their service to the authorities.

Cached version.
This will just move most of the activities to some other place.
It does not need to go through bodies to look cool, while "coolness" is the main point in this thing.
They go for Neo though, didn't they? Almost every girl I know like "The Matrix" movie because of him.
Laser beams can make the same effects on the floor, but much cheaper.
Imagine a system administrator having two groups of users: white and black :)
I wonder, did they register word "SCO" in relation with "evil"? SCO can sue this poor guy for writing this kind of stuff!
If you think this is bad beta, look at God's release!
I'like that overcrapped taskbar, this screenshot features :)

In Soviet Russia, all your base are imagining an ad-hoc beowulf cluster of old korean overlords welcoming YOU, insensitive clods!

I wonder, who overplayed CS: two guys, dressed like freaks and shooting at people, or those who identified them as CS characters?
haven't had the balls (or money) to stand up to them yet.
Only balls. Money required if you want to win, not to sue.

...how much is your peace and quiet worth?
I'll pay this amount of money for this case, if it can suppress all noises from outside world.

... since Napster shutdown. And I got rid of all their records at that time. Also I know that a lot of people did the same thing.
How far can they go with their stupidity?
