Hey - I think that qualifies as Insightful.

You are quite right - I haven't seen a decent troll for ages. It is all crapflooding. Admittedly, it's not easy to come up with a good troll - which is why I've not posted much. You see the pure shit which guys like the WIPO Troll, Ralph the Jew Hater etc. are coming out with and you wonder why they bother.

Maybe, but there are a lot of genuinely stupid people out there. I've seen people use search engines to find the websites of firms including IBM, Microsoft and all sorts.

    S'right.

Unless they can force US ISPs to firewall off the rest of the world (how technically possible is that?), then the Russian Federation (and others) will happily supply all your ripped music, porn and video needs.

Folks want porn. Folks want CDs they can play in their PCs. Folks want to be able to listen to music they'll never hear on the radio before buying the CD - and when they do buy the music, they don't want to rent it for a month and they don't want to lose the lot next time their IBM drive goes tits up.

Hope I don't get modded up for that - it was obvious and I wanted this to be a trolling account.

    Stop whining.

Do what I do and just create a new account when you hit 50. I think having accounts at both +ve and -ve Karma caps is cool.

Oh, but for fuck's sake, no more page lengthening posts please.

Maybe the Americans should learn English first. Once you've mastered the correct spelling of "colour", "honour", "arse" etc. Then you might want to stop using words which do not exist such as "planful" and "summarization". Finally, you can stop using nouns as verbs - eg "leverage".

Of course, the man responsible for Buggles (Trevor Horn) was also quite into manufacturing bands. Frankie Goes To Hollywood may have been a "band" to start with, but if your heard their orignal Relax (on UK TV prog The Tube) it sounded fuck-all like it did when TH finished with it. Most of the stuff on ZTT was like that - take someone with an idea, then overproduce it until it's unrecognizable.

These people are far from talentless

Which people? The people who wrote it, the people who sing it, the people who choreographed it, or the people from the model agency bouncing around at the front miming?

Agreed, there is some talent there, but not a talent for creating and performing great, original music. It's more like a Busby Berkley musical extravaganva than anything of actual artistic merit.

Over the last few weeks, I have noticed a significant increase in quantity and decrease in quality of troll posts. Current troll posts are:

Repetitive. We've had Taco Snotting, Let Me Get This Straight, page lengthening/widening etc. sooo many times now.

Personally abusive. Many of these troll posts are about the supposed sexual proclivites of people who the trolls have never met. Get over it. These people are giving you a forum to troll for free - and how do you repay them?

Boring. A proper troll should engage the readers attention for the whole post and then encourage them to make an ill-considered, hysterical response.

On the plus side, great advance have been made in the field of making goatse.cx links look innocuous - or indeed interesting.

Get yourselves together guys. A skillful troll is a wonder to behold. Please, either try harder or fuck off.
