I mostly don't. I have my main apps I use everyday pinned to the taskbar and then my games have their icons on the desktop. The only time I ever used the start menu is to bring up the search box so I can type in the name of a new program I just installed or a file.
Outside of the IT world, what would a typical user need that is in their start menu?
The DVDin my tower came with Power DVD software which plays any DVD including the BR's I own. So WIndows won't come with default software to play DVD's? Ok. Every DVD drive that you can buy, or windows box system you buy, comes with tons of software that will. Who the hell has a system with ONLY the OS installed?
WoW and EVE are the ONLY two MMO's I know of that bothered to make a mac client of their game. I honestly can't think of a single other MMO that is dual platformed.
But who cares? Unless you have an old non-intel Apple system (in which case the system requirements wouldn't work for this game most likely) you just install Win 7 on a second partition or hard drive and play the game on your mac that way. Stop trying to complain about something that isn't an issue anymore.

You should have stopped commenting right there. I was in Beta as well as started my early access on the 13th. While the voice acting is amazing and top notch graphics it is exactly like every other MMO out right now. Except they didn't put in a real LFG tool yet, though they have a PVP queue, and they don't have phasing like in WoW.
Honestly if this game didn't have STAR WARS in the name no one would care.
The first thing I see is: Project Manager – Senior, Billed: $322,455 Paid: $101,690
That employee is getting paid roughly 1/3rd of the price of the contracted work, but I'm not sure what people are expecting here. Having worked with numerous types of consulting agencies both as a contractor with them and managing contracts it's not unusual that the agency that bills us at a rate of $120/hr is paying their employees/contractors anywhere between 10-60/hr depending on their responsibilities. The part-time social media intern is getting paid around $10/hr and the full-time web developer is getting around $60/hr, regardless of what is being done, and by who, the agency will bill the clients at a rate of $120/hr. This is pretty standard.
That plenty of Green Businesses here in the Bay Area are doing very well, primarily Petersen Dean, though others include SunWize, RPS Solar and REC Solar to name a few. Of course they are all private sector businesses that our current government wouldn't concern themselves with because they only want to give handouts to corporate america and green start-ups that have no legitimate plan for growth or success.

While some may or may not like CyberPower, my main points are that you can't sell "gamers" a gaming system without a GTX card, the GT's just don't cut it and while a 320GB 7200 rpm drive is alright, you can get a 128GB SSD for about the same price, maybe around $30-50 more. No one uses anywhere near 320GB on their primary drive. I have Win7 with Office 2k10 Pro, Adobe CS Design Suite 5, LOTRO HR, DDO HR, WoW, Rift, EVE, STO, CO, PotBS, LoL and numerous web/net apps installed on my laptop and I'm using only 140GB of space.
I'm upset that none of the hot female teachers when I was growing up wanted to leave their husbands and bang me during and after my junior high classes.

While an electric sports car is indeed innovative, if companies actually want to make a successful business from hybrid or electric cars they need to sell to the masses first, then target disposable incomes second. The Nissan Leaf, Ford Fiesta and even the Wheego are all more realistic options. Granted they're above the average consumer level too being in the $30-40k range which places them in the luxury price tag category of the lower end and great gas mileage cars from Mercedes and BMW, but still no where near the small pool of people who would actually pay $110k for an electric roadster. I think most who can afford that price for a car would still rather have an Aston Martin or Bentley due to their status symbolism.
As someone who lives in the bay area, I think I saw maybe 1 Tesla around Palo Alto near Stanford's campus once. I see a dozen Prius's ($23k) every time I get in my car.
Using Google Chrome as an example, the Chromebooks serve a small niche of users who only do specific tasks. Real OS's like OS X, Windows and Linux provide the ability of satisfying all user types to do any task.
Besides, explain to me how a Firefoxbook/pad would be able to compete with a Chromebook when it'd take several hours to boot after grandma accidentally let FF install 100 different useless add-ons.
Groups like Anonymous and LulSec could probably do a lot more good for a lot of people if instead of pontificating about leaking government information actually did something useful like erase consumer debts instead of just posting passwords to porn sites online...
I know it's hip to be an Apple user now these days and all the cool kids are rocking their iDevices, but a good majority of graphic designers/artists use the platform and I while it's cool to watch netflix in bed on an iPad, it's irrelevant when you have to start using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, though I imagine Illustrator and Photoshop wouldn't be as big an issue to use on a tablet as InDesign would be.
I'm assuming that by market share it's some globalish number of IE users and that because of this many users in foreign countries are using IE or something...My main issue for confusion comes from my experience having worked on two city websites, four websites for a major university and several small mom and pop company sites. From the analytics on each of these IE is always the least used browser, often times less than 25% of the users. Granted, I'm working with a small amount of fish in the ocean, but other webmasters I've worked with and talked to about this experience the same thing - so I guess my question is...where are all these IE users coming from and what sites are they going too?
I tend to agree with that thought. Looking at human history as an example, we have adapted to live in some very extreme conditions, albeit we often create artificial devices to do so, however, it still stands that we have found a way to live in both arctic climates as well as deserts and tropical forests for centuries. While animals don't have the mechanical capacity we do, life still adapts to new challenges and environmental changes.

Inkscape is a vector graphics tool, similar to Adobe Illustrator if we're comparing open source to commercial apps. That said, to label Inkscape as a little brother of Scribus is silly and creating multiple page documents isn't what Inkscape is designed for. I don't know if the latest Inkscape supports multiple artboards within a document, which is something in Illustrator that can act like a multiple page document, but that's not the purpose of multiple artboards.

UI Scaling and Mods are something Bioware Stated would come after launch.
