why is my post here - i didnt post this? it should have gone under the article for the M$ changing there file format? i never even read this article? im confused?
(or is that like saying there are/.ers who dont like animie?) probably true
i actually liked the ff series but i just wanted to give you props for saying you liked earthbound - since thats (in my opinion) an underrated game that was pretty fun and campy:)
I wouldn't mind watching the cartyoon network if they subtitled everything instead of playing the dubbs - so far only gundam wing, armitage 3rd (only in english i think), and ghost in the shell - are the only ones where the english voices were dubbed decently(somewhat) - most of the time the characters voices are so annoying or far from the original that it ruins the show or worse - in the case of blackjack some of the plot actually changes(very little but still) if you watch it subtitled versus dubbed. and lets not forget about the bastardization they did with tenchi - ryoko the hottest character sounded like a fucking drag queen!
actually theres more informative articles out there on this - its just that they are trying to set up and utilize the "bunker" for the senate rather than use the current building because they were worried about attakc son our government.
...thats more than fair enough - id be down to pay but sinc eim near in-debt ill just do my part an when i am bored at work click the advertisements that pop up on the pages.
i think its a good point that should have been brought up earlier (especially in napsters case) since all kinds of programs like ftp and instant messaging progs allow you to share files (and mp3s) how can you claim damages because one program happens to only search for specific file types?
so when are they going to start having employees of DMCA and MPAA and FBI swing by my house every day to do random copy-drug-liscencing-protection-1984 style scan searches?
http is dead - M$.Net comes out to conquer the internet - woot
coldfusion is dead - M$ frontpage extensions show up everywhere with javascript
C, java, perl, python, etc... are dead - Everything is now coded with M$ C# or nothing
(sarcasm - for those that dont understand)
i give them props for trying this again - but they should really know better than to try this - it obviously didn't catch on the first time and even though it will be $50 instead of $80 - it should be $20 or its almost worthless.
so i cant see it right now - but if the eff is involved i say kudo's to them. im glad to see more sites (anit-dmca.com, fuckedcompany.com, eff.org, etc) popping up against the dmca. this way people will have a better voice rather than just the usual "thats shitty - burn the goverment anarchy - yay" statements made from people who complain and contribute nothing to the movements. i hope this site and the likes continue to grow.
thats nice for word - but being in the digital media field - we constantly look for faster machiens in order to get our jobs done on time - alot of times we need multiple machines just for a single job. try running photoshop or softimage on your P75 - it wont work. and microsoft isnt the only platform that requires increasingly higher hardware demands - ever hear of unix? what do you think our airports use to route all the planes in the sky? they constantly need to upgrade there systems as they add more flights/planes.
"In a nutshell, the Linux community must develop both a quality GUI system for configuring hardware and a standardized system for installing and removing software."
So basically redhat needs to focus on making kde its own full distro and give you the "option" of rebooting into rh-linux mode (pun on ms-dos mode - get it) and assume you are always root?
I agree with the sega statement - but nintendo is no where near as popular in the states as it is in japan. not to mention the old nintendo-gameboy-pocketgameboy have way more "toys" to attach to them. as in the camera for the gameboy that came out here a couple years back was one of the first things to be released in japan right after they released the gameboy. its more nintendos lack of "zeal" for spreading into america - then nintendo actually lacking good ideas. granted sony has definately come up big time - but my analagy would be ATI and Nvidia - granted Nvidia is more popular, but ATI has alot of cool and useful stuff that brings in the money too. and i think the main reason why nintendo lost so much hold on the states in the past few years is linked to them giving up there squaresoft license to sony and relying on zelda and mario rehashed over and over.
Wasn't it Daisy Duke who made the show watchable - honestly a couple of hillbilly ruffnecks smuglin boos would have only gone so far if it didnt have a babe like Daisy in it.
but then theres this:
"While this looks great for showing off to co-workers or friends, you will absolutely NOT get the performance of four CPUs running in your system (I can't stress this enough). As you'll see in our benchmarks later, even if software is written to take advantage of SMP, you rarely ever see performance gains with Hyperthreading enabled."
well now we know that MIT are huge bubble gum crisis fans :)

between this and the same hardware that can be used with lightwave or nomad?
Didn't they have a movie about this awhile back where a guy scams his company for helza cash and then runs off to the carribians with his mistress?

so will they be competing with quantum3d (obsidian) then? hmm.. that would be interesting to see the specs after the boards made.

somehow i don't see nvidia as analretentive as M$ in the use of similar names
