  2. Re:How about battery life? on Linux Connectivity for the Visor · · Score: 1

Yes i to was supposed to get mine around Halloween and i didn't but i did finally get mine with cradle but have yet to use the cradle it is plugged into my USB port but i haven't done anything beyond that. I am pretty shore that USB is not supported by linux yet and thus i have not even tried and i really don't like Windows because i find it unreliable and i am using 95 with USB support and if i turn my usb on windows tells me that i don't have a network card so whatever. As soon as USB works with linux i will be willing to put some time into working on some connectivity software but i don't know anything about righting drivers for anything let alone USB so i am out of that.

    this could all be fake

  6. Win the War on theos.com Dispute Ended · · Score: 2

Keep in mind that our community even if we have helped in this case which is wonderful and should not be downgraded we still have a lot to deal with. Rite now we still have the User Freindly/Segfault thing which is turning out to be real so far (still no name). There will undoubtedly be more of these David vs. Goliath type things coming up. We being David have not taken the same route as David throwing a small stone but instead we have taken a large rock and started to have it roll. We have now launch this boulder and launched it into the air and we are high on out egos and we need to make shore that we come back down before we fly over something. There may also be time when we hit something to big and there will need to be a backup plan.

I like the idea that was posed earlier about a group of lawyers or something

  7. slant/rant on Segfault and User Friendly threatened · · Score: 2

I wonder if this is a wide spread attack on the people that are parodying this company or if it was just one lawyer with some free time and decided that he would send some nice letters to these two sites.

There is also the possibility of it being a hoax in two senses. UF and SF could have gotten together and come up with this idea just to see how the community would react. The other theory would be that someone forged an e-mail. This most likely be wrong if Illiad gets a registered letter.

I am no lawyer (or much of anything for that matter) but the fact that there not allowed to say the companies name would in my universe fall under the idea of lack of freedom of speech. I know that UF is in Canada (i don't know what their laws are about) but I don't know were Segfault is.

I read UF all of the time and enjoy it. I have not read Segfault in recent times. I would not like to see eater of them disappear or be hampered in any means and would like to have the idea that I could also create a site without having to worry about what I said about whatever be it person country or company.
