"The flight was perfect. It went 131 feet high, and landed less than one foot from the launch point," Carmack reported on his publicly accessible web site. "It can easily do flights three times as long, which may show up some problems before we hit them with the big vehicle."
..131 feet, and it can easily do flights three times as long, which is what, ~400 feet?
I don't get it, how is that something good? Even at 400 feet, that's nowhere near the target altitude.
Please correct me if I missed something, as it is 7AM and I've been up all night programming.
I dont know if this counts, but I've been using 2.6.6 on my laptop. 3.2 ghz p4 with 512 ram..
I have had no problems at all with the kernel; very stable. I'm just waiting for better laptop suspend support. It's a pain having to completely 'shutdown -h now' each time I wanna go somewhere.
Not only did they build a robot that flew millions of miles through space, survived a crazy landing, and has held up in alien terrain, but now they're extending the life of the robot long past what it's meant.
Those original engineers must be thrilled to see the robots lasting this long.
i'd imagine if you're in a relationship, then it should be common sense that all you need is to manage your time.
it's just like anything else you do. just find time for your game, and find time for your girl, and you'll be fine.
i live with my gf (soon to be fiance), and when i wanna play an online game she usually just watches tv or reads. we each have our own hobbies and we have hobbies we do together. when i do one that she doesn't really like (like playing a game), she'll go do one she likes.

"Lousy kids think they're great because they have animations! Why when I was your age, I had nothing but black text on a white screen! No, even worse, orange text on a red screen and it took me 4 hours to download each page!"
Dreamweaver? What kind of programmer uses Dreamweaver?
I dunno. I'm not even that old; I'm 21. I've been programming since I was 9, and compared to a lot of people that's still nothing to how long they have been. Either way, I absolutely cannot stand that damn program.
How does it pay for itself?? I can understand the color coding helps, but you can get a much less bloated program to do color coding.
WYSIWYG editors for true website design are a waste.
I stand by my theory that you put up your best Dreamweaver man, and your best hand coder, and ask them to fix a problem and then see who pays for themselves.
all i need is photoshop 7 now and i'll be happy
although photoshop runs not too shabby under nomachine's nx software, it'd still be nice if it was natively ported
i run dangerz.net, and i have a nice fanbase. one thing that kills a site is downtime tho.
i was averaging ~500 a day back in the day, and was gradually rising. then my server went down for a month, that went down to like 20 a day. i was able to pull it back up to 300, till my host went down again for a month. now i'm at 70, and gradually coming back.
having people with sites like yours, that are more popular, link you is a big help also. dangerz.net is a fun hobby for me. have fun with your site, and don't worry about the hits. by the time you remember to check your hits, you'll realize you're getting a lot more than you thought.
and remember, it's all about the fans. and a little about you.

Uh.. I don't know if I read this correctly, but..

Feel free to delay Halflife 2 as long as you'd like.
:(
As long as that is delayed, my free subscription to Day of Defeat is on. As soon as it comes though, I lose
Ya, cause it's just that easy to attach a Nuclear Reactor to the Mars Rover.
?????????????
ARE YOU THAT STUPID?
You gotta give these people credit.

Props to NASA

Works for me.

The internet evolves. Deal with it.
