No one ever bought me a computer. I got a paper route, and earned enough for my first system. Any kid, disadvantaged or not, can do that.
Who has whole systems left over anyway? All I ever have left over is bits and pieces, which I keep untill I, or a friend, can find a use for it. Cheers,
How many Canadians out there have actually read it? Right up front it says that the gov't can exempt a law from it if they like, and judges only have to uphold it if the infraction "brings the system of justice into disrepute." Cheers,
Instead of starving people out and scaring the s*&t out of people who can't help themselves already, why don't we go and empower them with skills, knowledge and give them a kickstart?
But why *should* we? It's not my responsibility to make sure Joe Welfare Bum has food money, it's his! At the very most, we should implement a loan system, like we do for students. Cheers,
Hehe, that would be funny, rounding up the homeless for not filing a tax return. I didn't know Americans had to file, even if they had no income. I don't believe you do in Canada, and I don't think you do if you make under the basic exemption (about $6500). Cheers,
And I could say lift when I meant elevator, or chips when I meant french fries, but that wouldn't make it correct either. Cheers,

I was watching something on discovery a while back about a nerve replacement operation on some girls arm. Apparently it worked, but the show was more about the operation itself than how it worked. Cheers,
Well, we were mostly immune to really stupid lawsuits
That's because we don't have punitive damages.

Oh, yeah, Canada has intelligent regulators. Have you ever read "1984"?
If our Prime Minister keeps ordering beatings, I think I'll claim refugee status in the states.

There used to be mini-sized audio CDs, maybe 3" in diameter. Have no idea whether they work for CD-ROMs
They do. I once got a demo of some game on one. If you look in your cd drive, you'll see a small indentation, which they fit in.

Current law states that each citizen of the United States must be reachable by a mailbox.
What about the homeless? Free PO boxes? Somehow, I think not.
