In Rochester NY you cannot get Verizon FiOS at all, Batavia has it, Buffalo, even Syracuse. But Rochester will never have it, since the Frontier/Rochester Tel "Fair Market" agreement prohibits it.
The movie did nothing more than the TV series did. It is a great TV show and they SHOULD bring it back. The movie was so so at best. And Wash dying really nuked the funny outta the show.
Infact 99% of the source code of Gentus Linux is included in the directory "/REDHAT/RPMS/" of the CD tile. If you install Gentus with the "everything" option or select "kernel source" with custom option, the code will be on your hard drive. The source code is also availble in "/usr/scr/linux/kernel/". The only part that is not released yet it the ABIT PerMon Toolset code. We are discussing now when and how to release it.

The initial posting on this here slashdot says disabling the motherboards. Shouldn't it say disabling the chips themselve.. Intel doesn't make all the Mobo's out there.....
Those things rule! I had so many of those things. I remeber if they broke all you had to do was cut the tube and stick the pentop thing back in and zip-tie it on.. Then fill-er up.. a little shorter but still worked..
It had a message that was eerie, that people are responsible for what comes out of there mouth and that children are going to be inevitably corrupted, and the ever popular one that parents don't listen to their kids. It was hilarious and I loved it. It is guaranteed to offend alot of people of different races, religions and intelligence levels. But man what funny ass movie..

It is only a few centimeter taller than a Pentium III XEON processor. And usually an ATX case will have the power supply out of the way of the processors, usually with the PS fan blowing across them..(in a full tower case) But then again in a mini-tower or mid tower this would definately be a problem.
Jon Katz is to be commended. I the recent past I have not always agreed with him, but this time I do. This has gone on long enough. Enough is enough and it's time for a change. A social revolution is at hand. The lurkers from down below have risen to the challenge before them, and are taking a stand at being themselves. Don't be a cardboard cutout of a pattern that was designed by someone. Be yourself and revel in your own accomplishments. After all who really wants to be just "another brick in the wall."
After hearing all the discussions held herein, I have one simple question?. After we rule out the guns, bombs, games, internet, and high school cliques what is left? My question is where are these two boy parents? One thing I know is I never had access to explosives at that age.. even if I wanted to make them myself? You have to be 21 just to buy gunpowder?(in NY State at least). Why weren't there parents aware of the trouble they saw in these two? I will admit I was at the very least unpopular most of my high school years. I think I turned out okay and didn't screw up too bad. I certinanly didn't get some guns and bombs and head off to school for the day?
------snip rant-------- sorry IMHO the games/internet/"insert socially unacceptable thin here" had nothing to do with it.. Only two screwed up and confused kids do what they thought was something "right" or wrong for that matter to put there opinion across.. I know it sucks and it is stupid, but who told them it was.. NO ONE!
Why am I an Idiot? I got a Pentium II 450Mhz computer for around $400 less than buying the legit 450 PII. And by the way how did I void the warranty of the components in my computer...how the hell is the manufacturer of the rest of my stuuf going to know I overclocked it. Think about what you say before opening your mouth....
Why couldn't Intel just create a pointer or CPU Hardware marker that when a processor is overclocked it will be marked (hardware) that it has been pushed passed it's spec. THat way when it was returned for warranty it would be checked and refused or vice-versa. If we keep burning them out we will also keep buying them. I currently have a Celeron 300A runing very nicely at 450Mhz@2.0V and have not even had a burp..
I appreciate the fact that a novice to Linux such as Jon Katz can engage in something as running Linux. It can be trivial and sometimes down right scientific a process to do. I remember hosing my machine countless times when I bought Slackware Unleashed. I didn't have a clue what the hell I was doing. But now I consider myself a pretty damn god Linux user. And believe me... Everyone started somewhere around where Jon Katz is... even if you were 10 at the time... When he was Ten there were no computers at home...
Oh MY God.. SOmeone else who wondered why they were charging $22 for a CDROM Audio cable.. I went across the street to Computer City (before the buyout) and bought one for $4. This was the exact same part smae manufacturer and brand name. CompUSA Sucks.
I will have to vote on Babylon 5 as the TV show. I mean who has ever stuck us with a 5 year storyline that can wrench your guts and make you laugh all in one show. You get more than you can ever wish for. But as for movies.. I saw nothing really oscar worthy or a 10 in my book. So I will allow the movie to go unanswered!

I'd take the tv show back instead.
Get a firewall, and get behind it. That is #1 way to avoid viruses at install time. What was so hard about that?
The game is called "Descent: Freespace" and "Descent: Freespace II" not Descend. Dork!
All Gentus is a modified RedHat 6.1 distro!

This is an interesting link. It may provide some insight into the solution? .

Interesting.. I have a Tyan Tomcat IV Dual board I can try this with. It's be cool.. But all I can say is why didn't I think of this..
