    What bothers me is why something so useful isn't part of Windows, especially since it was released nine years ago.

    I know it's not in the GUI, but it is possible.
    I'm probably stating the obvious, but it's here:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-0 0AA002F954E}
    The (Default) string is the one you want.

    I install the Windows 95 Target PoweerToy. It works under XP.
    It gives you a Target sub-context menu. The first item is Open Containing Folder.

    First, Beagle was British, not ESA.
    Second, the screw-up with Cassini/Huygens was Italian, not ESA.
    Third, have you forgotten Giotto?

    It seems that the ESA can be successful, but individual European nations can't.

    Didn't all the DOS games that needed XMS use the DOS/4GW DOS extender?
    I didn't run my DOS games in Windows, and I still don't. I've got a K6-2 hanging around for the occasional blast from the past.

    Proxy access is through a group on the NT domain, and we have to change our domain passwords every 30 days.
    It's too frequent. It encourages users to cycle through passwords like 1234567, 2345671, 3456712, 4567... you get the point. I've seen these particular psswords in the wild.

    Not here.

    The new guy in Legal just requested Firefox.
    Management have OKed it, I just installed it.
    There were already 3 unofficial installs, now the landslide begins. 4 down, 496 to go.

    Off topic, but I've gotta' say it. Firefox used to require a proxyserver password, and we have to change every 30 days. Now it uses the login credentials like IE. The last barrier to corporate deployment here.

    Since you're able to post, I assume you're joking. IE does do this from time to time, though.
    If you ever need to fix it, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
    and delete the string Window_Placement

    Hope that helps someone.

    Most Windows/DOS commands can be silenced by adding >nul to the end.

    del /F /S /Q >nul
