I've got about 10 IE windows open, a bunch of buddy chat windows, mIRC, and Winamp cranking, and my CPU is hovering between 2% and 4%, according to Windows Task Manager.
There's a lack of quality music in the stores right now, or else I'd be buying some. What do we have now? Not much, but at least this boy band thing is over...
Don't they realise that they have slumps just like every other industry, not to mention we aren't in the best economic situation.
Just becuase this cycle happened the same time Napster etc etc got big....
Let's go back to the 80-90's when copying cassette tapes became popular.
Either case, even though you pay a premium for Apple hardware, it's not the level of quality, not to mention the service and support you get from Sun/etc etc
Not sure why this hasn't been duplicated in OSS...

It's a not a merger!
IBM and Hitachi also said they plan to combine their various hard-disk drive operations into a new, stand-alone joint venture
My Mac G4 runs OS 9, y0!
What about this one?
3:00 a.m. March 22, 2000 PST
The University of New Mexico and IBM are teaming up to build the world's fastest Linux-based supercomputer.
Named "LosLobos", the new supercomputer is scheduled to be fully operational by the summer
Whats the current status?
Let's see the story when they make one with 1,800 AMD processors!
Scheduled to be fully operational in early 2003...
Won't it be obsolete by then?
Toggle it with F2....might not be the right program though...

Ironically, HTML and the Web were created to prevent that.

It's about FUN, not technology......
I'd rather fucking play PAC MAN than half the games out today
Let the Urban terror guys get some shelf space, box art, and packaging deal, and they can sell it. Nobody says that they can't.
Are you talking about speedview?

It's with the Wolf3D source
SpeedView v2.00 by John Romero (C) 1989 Softdisk, Inc.
PC games have the right audience for them, tweakers, hackers, people who share mods.
It's hard to distribute mods on consoles, and most console players would rather just sit down and play

They've done WINE, UNIX clones, GIMP, DOSEMU, Office clones...
What's the REAL hold up?
Any real hacker already has perl/cgi/whatever code to do this for him :)
C'mon now...I've seen 286's that took 10 seconds to just count up 640K of RAM during the POST!
OLD personal computers simply turned on and gave you the OK prompt from the ROM BASIC.
It just talks about memory that doesn't lose state when you hit the power button on your PC.
We've got to invent perfect software that can run forever without needing to be restarted, first.
You'd figure Goslin would be running a Ultra or something....I'm sure he can get them pretty cheap over at Sun
So why don't they just fix what we have!?

Perhaps some ISP's will charge a little more, and not sell-out their users.
But then again, how much is YOUR privacy worth to YOU?
Yes, I work strictly with Money Orders, PayPal, your bank, or credit card companies are very eager to hold your money and muck operations up.
