  1. My domains on Imgur.com: Why We Dumped GoDaddy · · Score: 1

I'll be transferring my 20 domains out of GoDaddy. I don't want anything to do with people that support something as dangerous as SOPA. What really bothers me is the millions of dollars tax payers are spending on this worthless bill. And only a very select few will benefit by it while the rest of us suffer. Fuck you RIAA/MPAA!

  5. Comcast and this decision on Comcast To Cap Data Transfers At 250 GB In October · · Score: 1

  6. Re:Ignorance on Uneducated IT Managers, and How to Deal? · · Score: 1

And I disagree. All Managers should be able to stop and assist the Janitor in opening the garbage bag as they no longer have to worry about that lack of knowledge again.

Your concept of what an I.T. Manager you have worked for, and what a real I.T. Manager is has you confused.

  7. There is no doubts a degree is good on Moving Up the IT Ladder in a Poor Economy? · · Score: 1

But it isn't everything. I know of folks who have more degree's than I (in the field) but couldn't program themselves out of a paper bag. My advise. Get your piece of paper, learn more than you could ever think of learning, and do whatever you can to make yourself valuable to the company. Then ask for a raise when you have proven yourself.

  8. Core PHP Programming on Core PHP Programming · · Score: 1

It really is a great book. I have both 2 and 3 editions. Yea, you can use the online PHP help, but this book is a must have for the serious programmer. I guess I'm one of those that like to have dead trees in front of me with lots of little tags hanging out the end.

  13. Run cat-5 outside of the house on Wiring A New House? · · Score: 1

When I ran cat-5 through my house I took part of the siding off the outside, bored a hole through the wall, strung the wire, caulked the hole and put the siding back on. The cat-5 is literally running along the outside of the house tucked into the siding. Just another idea.
