I think you'll find that it is just a move to save money, and has little to do with the coding ability of MS. Just because linux is being adopted does not mean that the industry is being enlightened.

Seriously though, this has to be one of the more gender biased games out there. Angelina Jolie had to wear a heavily padded bra to get even close to the required size demanded by teen males with raging hormones. Even then she was still one size too small .

Maybe if they wanted to appeal more to the female audience, they could remove some of the bias, and hey, it may not be dismissed outright by the female community as soft-porn for the male teen masses.

Linux has worked very well for Networking the Nation (a government initiative to supply internet access to rural Australia). If Telstra is looking for an example of a succesful deployment of linux they do not have to look very far.
If I were MS, I'd be taking this very seriously.
Totally, it is really sad that it is so difficult to find some quality music.
Personally, I have never encountered anyone with as much raw talent as Bowie. Some of the chord progressions that he managed to invent convey emotions that are unfelt anywhere else.
Bowie managed to get things like changing from a major chord to the minor to sound terrific, his use of diminished and augmented progressions through rising 5ths would not be dreamed of by pop artists these days.
It is unfortunate that people with such talent never get playtime. If you cannot become addicted to a song after one hearing, it is not worth playing according to the record companies. So we are forced to listen to 3 chord hooks that are forced into our minds (usually by playing them 20 times before the song is finished). It annoys me.
This was done in Australia a few years ago. Confessions were entered into a computer through a touch screen and the confessor received a printed out list of all the sins plus a handy piece of advice for each one.
