I use it, too. It's no longer in active development, but I did hear not long ago that some people got permission to take it over and rewrite it for MySQL. It really has worked well for us and is merely a bunch of perl scripts that can be edited to your liking, too.
"Everything seemed normal until I tried to log in to one of my accounts, which wasn't working."
Rarely, when we have some sort of network issues here and people can't get to their mail for some reason, panic ensues. It's well known around here that when someone's about to be let go, their computer is disconnected from the network.
I'd get very nervous calls about a person's PC having network issues, then when I explain that it's a hardware issue, there's a sigh of relief. Hey, at least instead of them getting pissed off at the inconvenience of network downtime, they look on the bright side for once.;-)
What's so funny about that? That's probably all this is -- leaked source that was sent to modders. I thought I read somewhere that Valve had done that. So really, the code's probably worthless to anyone not doing modding (i.e., no models, sounds, textures, scripting, etc.)
I think the poster of the question needs to let us know why wireless over wired? We're assuming the audience is sitting in seats, not moving. So why do you need devices that move freely, are able to be stolen, and have all the problems you mentioned?
What's next? They go out in the back of the schoolyard together and plant a tree, watch it grow for a few months and then tell them the tree's already destined to be chopped down and used for pencil wood?
Or how about raising baby chicks in an incubator, then when they're all hatched, cute and cuddly, the teacher tells them they're looking at next years' chicken nuggets?
Will Cafepress allow you to put copyrighted material on a shirt, even if you're planning to be the only one buying it? They seem pretty strict on that point when uploading images.
You could always use GoDaddy for domain registrations, which gives you the option of keeping registration info private. Not to mention their prices are a hell of a lot better than going through Verisign.
Dear God, man. "wide-ass open" and "there hasn't been [an exploit] in a while" is quite a range to jump from. Don't go scaring the piss out UW-IMAPD users into thinking they've missed some glaring bugs that even RedHat has refused to patch (they distribute UW-imap with their distro), when you don't seem to have any grounds for saying so.
Someone mark that bozo's post as "Flamebait", please.
"Under EPC, every can of Coke would have a one-of-a-kind identifier."
It occured to me that it's quite possible that such unique id's on consumable items could later get tracked back to their purchasers, then automatically impose a littering fine on them if said Coke can is found empty and discarded on the ground somewhere.
I don't really see that as becoming a reality, but it's possible.
"I am the sole IT person for a 100+ person company, with 50+ remote VPN users, 40+ developers, 30+ servers, firewalls, etc. I do it all, from desktop and application support, to security, to servers. In the past, the IT department has been seriously under-funded, and there is an absolute ton of catch-up work that needs to get done. At this point, I could work 70+ hour work weeks for a year, and still not be caught up, between project work, upgrade, documentation and day-to-day stuff."
Jus say that when someone says something you can't/don't want to do. Most people in the company will probably be bowled over or be sick of hearing you tell them that for the tenth time and you'll eventually get caught up on work.
Or you could just totally confuse them with a bunch of jargon technobabble that makes things sound even worse than they are.
Is the accuracy of "social science". Like "American Wedding", for example. Here we have some nutcases from the previous two movies, who had huge house-destroying parties, and that bachelor party was the best they could do? Please!
Perl for System Administration.
Dear Lord! He said he wanted to go easy on the coin. Some of the stuff you're suggesting isn't cheap at all.

Also, here's the obligatory eHolster link (although that really looks like a BatBelt -- nevermind).
Was his name Mr. Burns, by any chance?

If it's only 32MB as reported, that means it's probably just the source code -- no graphics, models, etc. Probably no logic or scripting code either.

That entry for "Gunfight" is a right-out ripoff of the old Atari game "Gunslinger". What kind of original idea is that?
we didn't have no fancy-schmancy digi-ink! We did things the hard way and watched videos on Flip Books!

For a lot of the geeks I know, where the heck are the XS and XXS sizes?
Reminds me of the design I should have submitted.

Great, so instead of it looking like a bought that innocent bag of chips, I show up as having bought an anal dildo.

Wait a minute. No! No! There were no sequels. I'm not listening! LALALALALALA!!
