    And when I say "anti-american" articles, yea saying that 24 propaganda is /. worthy, then articles about the Al Jazeera working with Terror Groups should be up on the home page too, or hell start covering some of the things the Arab media says about us, if all that which you comment on are "News for Nerds, Stuff that Matters", then it all is

    We expect that sort of behavior from totalitarian regimes. When they do it it isn't news. When we start acting like the Ministry of Disinformation, it's not what you'd expect from a country with such explicit values. So it's newsworthy.

    No it isn't. Texas is larger than Japan, but not Japan and S. Korea together.

    Of course, this isn't taking into account the fact that everything is bigger in Texas, including the standard mile.

    Aljazeera.net is the online version of the same Aljazeera.

    From a secular, liberal Arabic point of view Al Jazeera kicks much ass. This is what we are saying we'd like to encourage over there, and I'm totally baffled that people over here dislike it. The alternative is state-run religious content, and I'm sure they'd totally leave the US out of their commentary (he said sarcastically).

    Check out their web site sometime, instead of taking FOX's word for everything.

    Blizzard has a LONG history of turning a blind eye to assholes and jerks, simply because they're a large portion of their fan base. Every time I reload Diablo 2 I'm reminded of why I remove it; "oh yes, I'm surrounded by scum".

    I'm just not sure that there's as much mischief to be made out of this as Blizzard seems to think. What are they going to do, call them fags? Oh noooo.

    I don't like DRM for many reasons, its annoying, it by its existence says that I can't be trusted, but as far as I can tell the concept of DRM doesn't automatically negate, or even compromise security.

    I can't really find a good link for you, but the gist of the matter seems to be that it's a loophole in the rules of the Senate (I don't think you can attach riders((the term used for these attachments)) in the House w/out a special vote?) that both sides are able to use to their advantage.

    Why does nobody automatically cry foul? I'm not sure if you're familiar with our political process, but we're fairly complacent about being openly corrupt. Remember that whole "Gore wins the election but Bush becomes president" deal? Shit like that happens all the time here. We don't really care that much.

    If you're really interested in the mindset that allows situations like this to occur, I'd highly recommend picking up a copy of The Shockwave Rider by John Brunner. As far as I can tell he got precisely one aspect of the 21st century wrong.

    "A Musician who just spins tracks together". That's a musician? Wow. So, they "sample" parts of songs, and mix them all together. Seems like we need to reclassify them as a "mixer" rather than a musician. I think putting these people in with musicians is belittling to musicians. Seriously.

    And don't get me started on that hair. You call that a haircut? Back in my day we'd have kicked his scrawny ass across town just for laughs. And those clothes, don't tell me their mothers let them out of the house like that. Where I came from we'd have something i dont know what were we talking about?
