Its basically just a limit..
Consider 1/3, which is 0.333333 repeating
The partern can be expressed as f(N)=f(N-1)+f(N-1)/10 whhere f(1)=0.3 and you can take N out as far as you like... the number is still 1/3 or 'at most' 1/3 because of the properties of the pattern, it has an upper bound, and is therefore finite, even though the patern, or representation of it is infinite.
One of the lesser known new features about Gnome 2.6, is that nautilus will warn you if you try to perform the default action on a file if its extension and mime type dont match.
I doubt it will be much different than suse 9.0 with the 2.6.4 kernel and a few updated packages.
Im currently running SUSE 9.0 with the suse 2.6.4 kernel, and Ximian Desktop Unstable (Gnome 2.6:)) and its a pretty sweet desktop combination, unfortunately SUSE 9.0 doesnt handle wireless that well, and some hotplugging functionality got lost when I upgraded it to 2.6.4.
I work at a fixed wireless ISP in a rural area that has been using this for a while to do hookups, we have a backpack with one of our modems, a battery, inverter, and a netgear AP, one guy wears the backpack and takes an antenna to look for signal while another guy with a wireless pda telnets into the modem to read off the signal, this can also be done with one person with the pda mounted on the antenna pole, its proved pretty usefull and makes our hookups alot easier.
I was wondering the same thing, I go to ncsu, and I cant seem to find anything that conclusively says whether this is a hardware standard or a software protocol, as far as I can tell its a software protocol Id really like to see some more technical info about it.
Linux is not a viable platform to sell games if the games are only for Linux, but If developers took it into account beforehand and developed in opengl they would have an easy 2 (osx, linux) decenctly sized platforms to sell copies on without a _huge_ ammount of effort. It seems to be working for Epic. In fact epic licenses their engine by platform, Windows/OSX/Linux are considered a single platform for pricing
I admin a small non profit wireless isp, and this is what I generally try to do, although our user base is small enough (~110 right now) that I can do this and call them up to tell them they have a virus. But this wont work for all types of viruses, if you block someones smtp access you might cause more trouble than just shutting them down outright.
Holy shit, those are the most horrible travestys of music ive ever heard.
Im gonna get modded down for this, but that albumn sounds like complete and udder shit, Im not a big fan of rap period, I am a big beatles fan, but holy shit is that horrible. horrible.
Hang in there bud, I wasa there a while to. Unfortunately she will step out of your life next week and leave you feeling worse about yourself than you did before.
I'd try it on my zaurus, if I could find a place to download it.
But unfortunately the link in that article is dead. and i can find no mention of the distro on the lycoris site. Anyone have a download mirror?
I have ATI's drivers running under 2.6.1 in gentoo and they seem to be running ok. They are slow as shit though compared to their windows counterpart, ATI needs to get their act together and optimize their linux drivers.
Maybe they are pushing ipods to bring themselves into the consumer eye again, and promote the sale of their computers (Which must have fucking huge! margins considering how overpriced they are)

One might say Bonds fought he law, and the law won.

AOL also owns Nullsoft, and winamp. Losing the only decent media player for windows would suck for alot of people who are 'forced' to run windows.

I want loki back so they can finish porting Deus Ex (The original) to linux.

From a driver perspective nothing looks horribly exotic, except the display driver and/or the builtin mouse/touchpad

Being a geek, and a lonely one at that, I dont expect a gift at all for valentine's day.

BIG BROTHER
I just installed em on my Debian Laptop (GeForce 4 440mx go) getting fairly good performance.
On a slightly OT note, anyone know why the mouse is nonfunctional and/or haywire for a few seconds after x starts on 2.6.x kernels?

I drink pepsi because of taste and caffeine, nothing else. I dont particularly like AAC (hey it beats wma though) and I cant stand DRM

dont you love it when the first or second comment in a story gets moderated as redundant?
Im sure if the ipod jr used this drive it would take care of the buffering on its own.
Because some people dont have 300$+ to shell out on a high tech walkman that does little else
