There are actually other ways to get energy. What i think many of us wants is more work put into developing better sources of energy instead of relying on nuclear or coal, or even better more safe nuclear technologies.
What most nuclear huggers seems to disregard is that most nuclear plants are old and way past their date for decomission. Dismantle those and then we talk.
It takes some time for the people affected by radiation to die unless exposed to insane amounts like the people who sacrificed their lives to contain the Tjernobyl disaster.
Personally i envision mobile phones and computers to more or less converge, atleast in functionality where i think they already has.
With for example Android Honeycomb in your phone it isnt all that far fetched to just hook it up to a screen, kbd and mouse and use it instead of your computer. With that kind of use a four core CPU fits really well into the equation. I think this is where things are heading today and i would be much surpised if some hardware people havent thought in the same ways.
I wont let mono anywhere near my phones and will strongly advice against it to anyone i know.

Just as i dont expect her to do all laundry, clean the house, bring my slippers and my pipe when i get home im not her personal technician at 24/7 disposal. Especially not the kind doing things he really hate and could avoid if using something better than windows.

Those clustered in the IT departments have been badly burnt by Windows Mobile. A WP7 sale to one of them is harder than selling a refrigerator to an eskimo, they know they will be left for dead in a couple of years with backend systems and no hardware to connect them to.
Bullshit, ZTE Blade is a very good phone and with more than decent quality. The thing is, it has a price no smartphone comes near, and not many "dumb phones" like nokias lower range either. ZTE is after low prices and low margins but they do not seem to disregard quality, making them an extremely hard competitor to target.
