Everything will be used against you if they need someone to blame. Just pick the one with the most "X"s.
I have several books that might raise an eyebrow. One is "Blueprint for Black Power" Amazon inserted a small paper saying it was below their standards when I ordered it from them. But I couldn't find any visible damage...
This book is primarily about cultural phychology and has nothing to do with any radical movements or any such violence or the like. But I could easily be marked by one of the various government "plans" if they feelt the need over books like this.
This is garbage and we shouldn't allow this in a 'free as in beer' society.
What do they really expect to find? They already have shown they have enough information, but their problem is a lack of digestion and comprehention. Perhaps some of the Arabs and muslims they so actively alienate could be of assistance...Only if they really cared about security would that happen!

Caps always work by storing charge. Thats their nature. You can use that effect for different things.
If you have a car stereo and are a wasteful showboat you can put a huge useless Cap near your amps to smoth out the current when the load spikes. the caps will charge while the volts are high, and drain when the volts drop thereby supplying extra power when needed. They effectively filter out spikes/drops.
This is what they are mainly used for. Filtering noise.
Airbag modules use them to hold a few milliseconds of charge to complete deployment since the batters is in front of the car and could be cut before deployment.
They are also used for timing since their charge drain time is constant, though crystals has replaced this usage today.
Not much heard about dying BP6 boards. my BP6 has run non-stop 24-7 since I bought it several years ago. Big ole heat sing and several caps surrounding the processor are touching it. Of course the fan is overkill and the processors are quite cool.
The auto industry in US constantly tries to accelerate their cycle to compete or beat the Japanese cycle, "by any means necessary."
Quality = time.
remove time, remove quality.
Japanese have used same parts across all their cars for years so they dont have nearly as much design work as US, but US ignores that fact and still tries to reduce lead times...such is life on the bottom line.
Interesting. The why does my Dell fan only work when its unpluged? Seems like it would need more cooling when plugged in if the power consumption should be higher?
I think you are mistaken to assume that M$ would eventually fall. They are powerful and will be corraled only when the laws are enforced. Linux does not stand a chance against M$ if M$ is allowed to run free. Don't be fooled.
SAMBA would be instantly crushed with service packs for each version of windows back to windows for workgroups if M$ had their way.
I disagree with the courts finding with respect to Java.
The judge seems to be of the impression that since Java worked on M$ OSes and M$ actively distributed its own JVM in which java applications "worked" then M$ was not really trying to kill java. Thus she accepts M$ claim (I assume this is what they claimed) that their modifications were improvements to enhance Java on their OSes.
But this neglects the mission and design of Java. If java were simply a programming language this this would be true, but Java is an environment.
The failure is with SUN and the plantifs. Though I disagree I believe she is right.
If you take the case of the windows logo in which people had to make programs run on winNT before they would get the logo for 95. Sun should have had a Java logo. M$ could never say development towards win95 only is an attempt to destroy NT.
I disagree. You are speaking absolutes. But at this level of science their is only probabilities. So you can not say it will not happen because their is not enough power. 1 molecule may be easier to break apart than another molecule under the exact same conditions for your test.
No. I will not use cell phones next to me head on a daily, and in fact hourly basis. I am not saying "if you want to give someone cancer hide a cell phone in their matress." Because this is not guaranteed. But it certainly increases the risk. 1/4 watt is quite powerful next to your head.
Staring at the monitor is another matter althgether. Its not next to my head and if he had the physics he spoke of and understood "power" such as he claimed, he would know that power drops off with the square of the distance. Not to mention that I stare at an LCD...
Its fairly obvious I should think that wattage is not cancerous. I mean how many "watts" of power do I absorb from my hot shower. This is clearly not the point.
All frequencies are not created equal. A slice of paper will be relatively unaffected inside of your microwave no matter the number of watts.
I don't need highschool physics again considering I am an electrical engineer.

Yes of course, I would be surprised in a fair comparison that the young.NET would be faster than Java. Running natively of course.NET code will be faster, but running inside the VM as it should be for a comparison I would expect.NET to be slower since its so much younger.
Its appearently that so many hear are defending C++ and therefore M$. Very strange phenomonon. The report showed how rediculously LOADED the comparison was, but nobody seems to RTFA.
Furthermore, there are "Peeping Tom" laws for residences and businesses. So, even looking in, if I leave the blinds up, can be illegal.
In fact, you can be busted for looking (sometimes), but not for video taping(so long as their is no audio)...Found that out on discovery channel I believe.
OK, you ARE supposed to be paying local state tax on all of your across the border orders. The new tax is however a tax on the RETAILER not the customer as most seem to be missing.
The tax we are required to pay today that most ignore is based on customer location, this proposed tax is based on retailer location.
I posted somewhere above that this was the case for michigan. I got moderated as flamebait...I question why?
The tax in place [that you speak of] is for the consumer. The article is speaking of retailer tax based on retailer location. People don't seem to read far enough to understand this..
This will certainly create a competitive relationship between states. Local communities are already being pimped by sports teams and corporations for tax breaks and new stadiums. This will create a competitive atmosphere where one state will undertax the next, and in the end, unless they all have similar tax levels, merchants will simple go to the location with the cheapest tax. Remember internet companies are easy to move.
Collecting this tax will cost more than the tax can produce itself. They at least need to settle the New World Order and implement the 1 World Government under "W" first. After which implementing this will be much simpler...
Remember, you are supposed to be paying state tax on all of your catalog orders anyway. So this will not be a new law, just a new enforcement technique...
The only "next-gen" fans are those with the berings on the outside of the blades as opposed to being on the inside. These are just colored ordinary fans. Lets call them "Fans 0.1"...

This usually happens when management changes.
Depends on the cap style. Most fail open circuit.

Never had a single problem.
Once again technology imitates God.
Humans carry something called "the ghost" upon which being let out ends them as well.
I think we can safely assume the caps are failing "prematurely." Thus the rating is meaningless.
Say which? Learned their lesson? Surely you jest.

As much as I hate M$ this will eventually impact American jobs and world dominance right?
Or is M$ already engineered in India like all software seems to be headed?

Point of clarification for the ignorant.
.NET is not a language.
J2EE is not a language.
Objective C is irrelevant in this comparison.

The article clearly states that the tax is charged to the retailer based on his location. It says nothing of the customers location.
