  1. the law of the country you are in. If you enter NZ with your work laptop, they obey their laws and you lose your job. Suggest strongly you do not take work laptops into NZ. Frankly, with this new law, I would pick up a cheap burner phone there in NZ and bring along a chrome laptop with nothing on it but a method to go to my personal cloud for anything I need. To be clear, 99% of people are doing nothing wrong, I am sure, but I do not need some government flunky from some other country sifting through my personal crap/bank accounts, purchases on ebay or amazon, pictures of the last vacation I was on, prospective investments, etc.

well, Mr or Ms Belgian, we have multiple parties. Just the two largest ones are all most people care about. All Americans COULD have voted for the Socialist Party candidate, or the Libertarian Candidate, or any of maybe twenty other candidates, there also is a 'write in' option where you can write in any name you want. Mickey Mouse always gets a few votes. The problem is that many Americans believe a vote for any other candidate than a Republican or a Democrat is a 'wasted vote' when that is not true. If 20% of all Americans eligible to vote voted for a Libertarian (for example) that Libertarian would win because we never get even 40% of eligible voters to vote! I am sorry you know so little about America, but then again, Americans don't know much about your country, so I guess it is all fair.

how about we stop being simplistic in our thinking? Imagine I have a metalic substrate, I spray a 4 mm coating of urethane to it, then I my antenna over that after the urethane has dried. Now I have an antenna with a backplane 'distorting'; the beam in one direction, or one could say, attenuating the incoming signals from one direction. Would this have value? Depends on my use case. Imagine instead I use an expanding foam as my barrier rather than simple urethane? Now I can develope a larger thickness if I so desire. In both cases I mention above one can create much cheaper antennas in a conformal mode.

  19. really? I hated being called to the front of the class to present. I hated it when the teacher told me how good I did in front of the class. I hated all of that. Today I am a couple of weeks shy of my 59th birthday. I make 6 figures and have to brief decision makers regularly. That experience from my elementary school days of fear and loathing has NOT made it any easier today, even though I have actually taken many classes in presenting, been in therapy when needed, and addressed my social anxiety in all the legal and ethical ways recommended. It may be a 'rite of passage', but that does not equal it helping anyone to actually be better at it when they actually do suffer from social anxiety! FYI, no one 'raises people to overcome their disadvantages' when it is an issue of mental health. They merely say stupid shit like, "Get over it" which is not helpful at all, and then of course there is the ridicule heaped upon them by their peers.
