  1. Undead Paladins? on Ask Blizzard About Starcraft2, Diablo III, WoW, or Battle.net · · Score: 1

I understand that, originally, races were chosen for certain classes based on lore. While Tauren Paladins would be a Godsend for tanking, why ignore the previously-Human-but-not-so-much-anymore Undead when it comes to Pallies? Holymen just want to rock out!

  2. Re:Keyboard/Mouse vs. Controller on Valve Hoping For 360/PC Play, Scared of PS3 Online · · Score: 1

Furthering those lines: how many FPS games on consoles have "aim assist?" How many on PC?

  3. One possible reason... on More Women Than Men Play Games After 25 · · Score: 2, Insightful

Women are more likely than men to be stay-at-home parents, so wouldn't that give women more opportunities to play casual games during their free time (and not get in trouble for doing the same thing in the office)?

  4. Re:A big stick and a dead horse on Star Wars TV Show, And An Unmade Trilogy · · Score: 5, Insightful

I can see another triology helping the Star Wars genre, but only if Lucas steps down as either Writer or Director. Sure, he can make some wonderful special effects, but he needs more creative imput if he plans his new saga touching more than just the most hardcore of fans.

    Neocron - www.neocron.com

Not exactly twitch-based gameplay, but it DOES require some FPS skills to play, and the leveling/crafting system isn't bad to boot.

Too bad so few people play it.

  6. Well, I dunno... on Half-Life 2, ATI, NVIDIA, and a Sack of Cash · · Score: 1

Perhaps it's because the OpenGL specs weren't finalized until late into HL2's development cycle, DirectX gets full support from Microsoft, and there are less Linux gamers than Mac gamers, and we all know how much respect Mac users get.

  7. Re:I don't see anything wrong with this.. on Microsoft Introduces IM Licensing · · Score: 1

As said earlier on the topic, it's about Microsoft's control. Legally they can do what they will with their own network, but it's the moral implications that unsettle me. Poor grandma is not going to care about people getting locked out, or switching to another service; all she did was click the link that popped up when she first turned out her computer, and if it works, it's good enough for her.

AIM or Yahoo can't claim many people like that. Ya'd figure with a recruitment tool and large base, MSN would want to remain open, to get more chatter flowing.

But this is Microsoft. Chatter matters little compared to the profit potential of a captive crowd like that!
