i know who you are!! - i went to your home page - the flarp bar!! i was in the CS lab on friday, wanted to print out some notes, everyone was there printing off reports, some were waiting for bish to demo their neural nets assignments, a guy sat next to me was printing something, he loaded something then walked off to talk to someone, there was a registry dialog box on screen and the directory that it was run from had flarpbar written in it, im sure! heh, i was sat next to you not 2 days ago:P
heh, pure cyb here (siu00maj) - indeed bish is a better lecturer than warwick - looked at the digger project, looked cool, but a pain in the ass - glad i didnt have to do it, though warwick did actually lecture us (as in people not doing the digger project) on robotic vision systems and what not, thresholding, finding edges and all the stuff that would have let us actually do the digger..... our departments seem to be messed up like that!!:)
The transporters were a cheap cop out - Roddernberry couldnt afford to land the ship/shuttle craft each week, so they invented the transporters as a way to get arround it!
hrm, ok, DrFreeze seems to have dissapeared - tweak.cc links to Http://www.accsdata.com/drffreeze/Default.htm - its a 404 now (was there recently though) - going to http://www.accsdata.com/ just says "coming soon!" - at a guess their upgrading, hopefully they will restore the DrFreeze webpage
Babylon 5, epp after they declaire independence, Garabaldi resets passwords and shuts down the computer for the changes to take effect (MY GOD MS SURVIVE!!! RUN!!!!), when it comes back on some AI doobry comes back to - very simmilar:) and pretty funny
There is a UK TV program called watchdog - they bitch about everything to everyone - its an ok show, there was an epp recently about some company in the UK the put up a nice big antenna on their site for all the radios and whatnot they use, its perfectly legal, has correct license and what not, BUT no one in the town can watch TV anymore because the TV signal boosters that everyone requires because the Terrestrial TV signal sux also amplifies the signals from the companys radio network, the company is trying to contact the manufactures of the booster equip so they make them just boost the TV signals, - I fought it was funny:) - would tell you the name of the place and company, but I didnt hear that bit - damn brother bitching about something!
If you did, hyperthetically (sp) go to war against us, wouldnt removing.uk from the root DNS servers just stop everywhere else from accessing the.uk servers - i would imagin that if the routine matters were handled via the internet then the DNS servers in the UK could be reconfigured to ignore the removal of the.uk from the DNS - allwoing anyone in the UK (or anyone who configured their box to use a UK server) to access the.uk pages (of course it would be at least firewalled from anywhere who wasnt else, or at most the lines cut to prevent all the hackers/crackers (which ever you use) that the US released from prision and gave jobs to from interupting the UKNET), just a thought
In both the original post and on the page it clearly states that there is an ethernet port on it!!
Regarding the MD Video discs - hopefully sony will us it in their next MD Recorder/Player, 260mins rather than the 80 max using MD audio discs!!! YEA!!!
Hehe, i was just looking at some windoze shell replacement doobry, came accross this screen shot (top right, the MP3 player). Wondering if this person is on Metallica`s list??:)
or would it be a Vision Master PRO 450... real bute, only PITA is that I have mine box setup on the dining table, like im gonna go put this beast of a monitor on some crappy desk in my room.., moved it to eat once, got a small chip in the screen!! eek, so I got the brasso out and used the old wives tale of brasso removing small chips and scratches from glass, glass that is without an antistatic/antireflection layer on it, now have a slightly bigger mark on the screen, of course still have the chip..... whoops!!
Yes they will - ive done it, it worked with Redhat 6.0 CD, but not with slackware 7.0 (But Patrick Volkerding said he had a lot of people asking about installin to a HD connected to a ata/66 port - said he had a BP6 and was toying with the idea of creating a boot disk) - anywhoo, i found out how to install redhat onto a ata/66 drive at http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/m ini/Ultra-DMA-5.html - all I have to do is pass ide2=0xd000,0xd402 to the kernel and wholla (though it probably doesnt run at full ata/66 speed) it still saves plugging the hd into an ata/33 port:)
Reading the HOWTO (the one I have printed is from 3rd Jan 2000) it does tell you how to install to slackware 3.4 (so one would assume 7.0)
hehe Walmart recently bought the UK "grocery store" ASDA - who sell a lot of stuff other than grocerys - a while ago they had celeron 400 computers there - for £600 - at the time the spec of the machine was pretty good (bear in mind this was in my local ASDA - the one at Monks Cross near York, it where they try all their new stuff before they release to the rest of the ASDA chain) so your store may not have had them.
why oh why did my mod points run out today? had to stop myself from laughing out loud in the middle of my office and everything!
