    Suicide is usually covered by life insurance. (but most say you are not covered if you kill yourself within 2 years of applying for the insurance).

    If a law is unenforceable, how can it be a law?

    It's illegal to commit suicide, but, what's the punishment and how can you carry it out? Therefore, you can infer that it is not actually illegal. (the attempt might be on the other hand)

    Now I will have to use REGEX's, which are far more cpu intensive.

    Google *really* needs to change their user agent string.

    Right now it says the words "Safari" in it. That's very annoying for me to be able to identify a given browser on my websites.

    I'm not so sure about that. The conference was "derailed", but all the information that was going to be presented was made available to everyone. Not only that, but there was a tremendous Streisand effect.

    Why would exposing the MBTA's secrets be against the law? Realistically, that's all they've done, they put together a presentation on flaws in their system, security firms do this all the time. Nice to see a judge make the right decision.

    Two things:

    1. You'd need to actually have all those mp3s

    2. Each mp3 would have to have matching ID3 tags, otherwise the hash will be completely different.

    My reason is simpler.

    I can get DVDs for $4 to $6, sure, the new releases are still $20 to $25 on dvd, the blu-rays are all $35 and up. Sorry, but that's the equivalent of taking a family out to the movies. I can get 10 dvds for the price of one Bluray disk. Not worth it at all.

    They're different companies.

    In Canada the main telcos are Bell, Telus, Rogers and Fido.

    Fido was bought out by Rogers however when Fido decided to offer an unlimited local calling plan for $40. As soon as they were bought out, Rogers crushed the plan and switched back to the "100 minutes local calling for $40" garbage.
