What exactly is it about OpenID that makes it something I would want to use? Everything I've seen about openid is chocked full of flaws that makes me wonder why any site admin would want to use it.
I keep hearing people recommend python over php, I've given python a whirl several times now, but the severe lack of documentation on proper web programming for python is keeping me from actually switching.
No, I don't want to use a framework. Yes, I want a full book outlining proper coding practices for web programming. No I have no found such a thing.
If the issue is about cracking an account, then the rest of your sentence is irrelevant since it is not illegal to do things for political reasons nor to affect elections...
In any case, hacking an email account does not warrant a 5 year federal prison sentence.
>an attempt to look for ways to influence an important national election while poking around in the private communications of someone who happens to be a state governor... and then going online to publicly talk about it.
That's illegal now? Read what you wrote, then tell me which law he broke?
If this is really the guy who hacked the account, then yes, he did something wrong. But that doesn't excuse the fact that this is going to a federal court where he very well might be indicted and sentenced 5 years in FEDERAL PRISON for logging into Palin's Yahoo account..
One can only hope that when I waste all my business' money at the blackjack table, that the government will step in and bail me out the way they've done with wallstreet's banks.
Well, if you want to get technical, a "Submarine" is classified as "A submarine is a watercraft that can operate independently below water, as distinct from a submersible that has only limited underwater capability."
That, and the lack of existing infrastructure that needs to be changed in order to meet IPv6. There probably wasn't a huge "switch" phase involved in having IPv6 deployed, whereas the western world is on IPv4, switching to IPv6 actually takes a lot of work.
They aren't attempting to patent the words. It has to do with rights for a certain use of the words.
Don't you love how intellectual property works? You and I no longer have permission (legally) to use the phrase "With Glowing Hearts" anywhere and at any time without permission from the IOC. Even in private conversations, since that would be infringing upon the IOC's rights to a phrase that they clearly own.
Execs will simply shrug and say "meh, the PC market is clearly dying.. lets make all future games for consoles, we can control the shit out of the games distribution that way."
You need to be logged in to the internet to use any of your games. Even if they're single player games. There have been a number of times where I had lost my internet connection for a day or two and was unable to play those games, that was annoying.
I don't understand why everyone immediately fires off that stupid one liner every time someone proposes a logical conclusion. Do any of these people understand how science works? You come up with a hypothesis based on an educated guess, then you test to see if it's true. Refuting something outright, saying that there's no concrete proof is the basis of a creationist's argument. If there is evidence to support a claim then there is clearly reason to believe there is causation, *based* on the correlation.
This is something the user wants?
I certainly have no interest in having people be able to associate my account on suicidegirls to my facebook account to my msn messenger account...
(i don't really have a suicidegirls acc, i'm just using that as an example)

The key difference? When you vote, you're not allowed bringing someone with you into the booth.
If you vote online, someone could be coercing you or forcing you to vote a certain way.

If anything happens, they'll just see to it that the DMCA doesn't apply to political ads.
I loaded those names into an array and what do you know, it's actually windows 6. Shows what you know.

like.. seriously? You think this is justified?

I'm not sure, but I believe those "underwater airplanes" already exist.. and are called "submarines".
That word always makes me laugh.
I don't get into semantic arguments. What I said above was more than clear.

Have fun.
How many DNS servers do you know of that are currently using IPv6 for name assignment?

This reminds me of a friend of mine, who on his deathbed told me:
All my life, I spent 90% of my money on hookers and alcohol.. and I wasted the other 10%.

If Blu-Ray disks were $2 more expensive, no one would buy DVDs and the price of dvds would drop instantly. That plan clearly doesn't work.
They really need to crack down more on sites like this one: http://www.usagc.org/ while they're at it.
