    I go to the gym every day for 30-45 minutes and do a lot of weight lifting.. I played wii sports for 30 minutes and i was actually sweating a bit and felt sore the next day, the same way i would after a workout..

    You're right, it's not. But the idea is that it's not a bot that's copying the image, it's random users accessing the image.

    If it WAS just one machine accessing the image, then you can always catch that machine's IP and ban it. Your average user is not going to modify their HTTP headers to change the referral..

    This would require a computer to be constantly copying the image for redisplay.. this would make it a lot easier to catch the IP of the machine doing the copying.. and ban it.

    Locking the captcha to an ip address will cause problems for users who are accessing your site from services like AOL that cycle the user's ip address for every page request. every time i look at my logs and see an aol user, i see about 50 IPs for that one user.

    Funny how until about a decade ago, Science was welcomed and seen as the answer, then suddenly the Discovery Institute came up with Intelligent Design and suddenly the thought that science shouldn't be taught anymore comes up.

    Does anyone remember what the dark ages were? Looks like we're about to have a relapse.

    I'm actually surprised to see this on slashdot. "Web 2.0" is a useless buzzword that only gets used by marketters and other clueless internet users who think they're talking about something that actually exists. The web doesn't have versions, why is anyone refering to it as 2.0? The web undergoes evolution and there is no difinable differences between 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 so why is anyone using this ridiculous buzzwords?

    So 100% of the magnetic energy gets used? What about the energy waste of converting electricity to magnetic waves, then in the device from magnetic waves to electricity?

    I'm certain the loss of energy from powering up via wire is a LOT less than this, which is almost gimmicky since you have to place the device on a platter to power up.. how much harder is it to place the device in some form of universal dock/station for powering up?

    I agree, cookies are nice but most sites overdo it.

    IMO, each site only really needs 1 cookie, if you're using more than your treating your client as a dump for data that should instead be stored on your server.

    Doesn't anyone else think that this method means a massive waste of electricity during the conversion, not to mention the wasted energy not even using used by the target device?
