This is a day I thought I'd never see. Wow! I started with Suse 5.2 back in 1998 and all those wasted years we dreamt of something like this and it's finally going to happen. World will never be the way it was if this will really happen. Too bad I'm too old now to actually enjoy this, but I will rejoice anyway just to support this. Now I'm a middle aged man, almost 40 years old, not interested to play Max Payne on my Slackware linux-box any more. All those wasted years.

This is very, very alarming news to Nokia supporters. Nokia has been strong in that area, but is losing now basically everywhere.

Do you really believe GNU/Linux software will bring Nokia back to top? I don't think so. Traditionally >90% of the finnish people have been using Nokia phones, but this is changing now very, very rapidly. Nokia is seen as a "lamers choice" in Finland at the moment and the youth + older people are buying Android phones and iPhones more and more every day. Nokia is seen as a loser here in Finland at the moment. Well - let's face it - Nokia is a loser! 70% market value drop in recent 2-3 years - that's just something that's hard to believe, but unfortunately it is true.

Do a google search. N900's hardware has been a nightmare! Just browse talk.maemo.org and you will see why if you are not aware already. Absolutely not true. Apple is, in fact more valuable than Nokia and it is also making more profit than Nokia at the moment. If Nokia's market-value keeps on sinking like it has been doing for a long time now Apple could soon buy Nokia.

Exactly. And you know why that has happened? It's because the creativity is there within the Linux community. Linux coders have free hands to do whatever they want to and create freely whatever comes to their mind without any deadlines. This is why commercial software will eventually fail - nowadays shareholders want more and more done within less and less time - this will result in bad code. Linux is free of all that crap. Nobody is pushing Linux coders, they have the time to make it right. They have the time to be creative. It's not possible to do that anymore if you're a coder in some software company. There are deadlines and shareholders that are making your job miserable.
