why stop at a mouse-over? sometimes they just go for the new brower window without even a click or mouseover, ad loads - window appears. mostly warez sites and such because they have no fears.
But this mouseover thing just sounds like the average consumer tolerance is getting higher. Companies feel it is time they can implement this bollocks and we wont complain.
Flash 6 ads are THE WORST form of evil, they fly around under your pointer preventing clicks - but you can't just close the window because they are on the page you want to read!
revolt! ban the ad sites!! PAY THE MONEY, don't rely on ads to support your sites expenses (ads wont generate enough revenue, if you can't afford a few $$ to keep your site up online I say, why bother?)
err yeah, this news post makes no sense - only post if you know what you are talking about I think.
"er someone is doing something on phones in japan, quicktime or something, go research it yourself if you care"
I think Mpeg4 may be the standard they are talking about and quicktime is pushing it.
I'd think that Indeo5.1 is best format on average but it is not very portable and not open.
- mpeg4 is good enough, surely I would take ANYTHING over a.wmv file - if it requires microsoftware, I wont buy it.
What is the list of reasons to boycott the MPAA? I am not sure what is going on here that is "shady" or abuse of rights.
So far, why I should boycott MPAA:>
1: unskippable content, not illegal but could be bad later and prevents you from using the DVD as it was intended (skip forward and back etc)
2: region coding, slightly annoying - but abides by import laws
3: DeCSS, don't know what this is yet

did they make bonzai buddy?
if they did they can rot in h3ll.
I have never installed it, but I know lots of middle aged people have and the stories are all the same "can't remove this evil thing!"
It's not star wars, that's for sure.
Not really sure, Aliens universe seems cool, but there is not too muc explained - maybe that is why it seems cool.
Blade Runner etc.
There is plenty
Warhammer 40 000 because of the gothic
Dark Reign, Total annihilation and other games just because they got neat vehicles
Alternity RPGs Star * Drive was okay setting.
my Amiga friends and I were hopeless SC2 addicts, many a star battle was fought.
campaign was way too boring for us though, we just had to go instant action, all the way, all day long.
I cannot remember all the weird stuff anymore, I recal a ufo with no intertia that a certain friend of mine could win ANY battle with (because he would fly in, fire 1 shot and teleport out - very very long boring battles but he could always win that way)
yeah rockin' game.
need more new games which act like old games.
and with out 1000mhz machines they should run 200x smoother!!!! (pfft, but these new games run like smog)
you guys should check this out, Ryzom has its whole engine and game system open source (err something like that, GNU maybe? me not sure)
even all the original content will have the source files available too I think (ie the.max files for the player models and such)
you may not have heard of it, but the graphics and art totally rock, plus the background story is amazingly original, very interesting
and very in-depth (check out the encyclopedia section they just added)

7 wires, 7 wires, Serial ATA will be great, Serial ATA!, Serial ATA with 7 wires, no more ribbons, ribbons gone, no more ribbons...
blah blah - okay this story looked really really bad.
If someone said "we are going to make a silent SCSI hardrive" then it would definately win.
the world is flat.
if you think there is a monetary reason to believe in global warming, what is it?
there is certainly money involved in denying it.

well it has facial animation and manages some really amazing looking stuff, so I thought it was not such a "that blows" kind of product.

yay, blocking the ISPs kicks arse! - I love it.
I would buy windows at $45!, wouldn't even bother with the upgrade version, just buy a new one each time.
it is obvious. games. work. generally.
