Check the marinas at lakes that don't allow public mooring (probably any of them). Any place where it would require some effort (ie a trailer) to move a boat and where the only option is to pay to store, moor, or dock a boat is a good place to look. At marinas on lakes in Georgia, for example they'll have a semi-annual auction for boats that are abandoned or delinquent in dock fees. I believe, in Georgia at least, that these types of public auction sales are required by law to establish a title of ownership. You may have similar laws in Fla, so check it out. Still, moving a sailboat/powerboat to Fla from Ga/Ala isn't big deal.

Most of the bigger boats that I see go cheap are steel flat hulled houseboats, old i/o board Searays and older sailboats that need a fair amount work, but few have touched saltwater, and you can inspect prospective purchases.

Also, I came across this looking for mooring laws in Fla. If they passed this law it would probably cause a lot of people to give up their boats cheap, esp with dollars stretched so thin...

The first time the drives warmed up, air would exit the vent. when they cooled down the air left n the drive contracts. If oil doesn't force its way through the filter. It would probably tear the filter or compress the plate covering the platter.

I let you experiment with it, though. I don't see any need to provide special cooling for my HDDs.

HDDs have a little hole on the plate that covers the platter. It says do not cover. It's a vent that regulates air pressure in the drive IIRC.I don't think submerging them would be a fantastic idea anyway. On the other hand I don't see the point of better cooling on an SSD either. So I think they're just doing it because they can charge more for the system since this way you can't opt for raptors.

I'm actually a little confused by what is being offered on the 15"MBP. They say it's a 9400+9600 SLI combo, but the 9400m is supposed to be a 9100 integrated chip combined with a discrete 9200 or 9300 card in a hybrid sli setup. I'm thinking it'll just use the 9200/9300 card and the 9600 card in hybrid SLI (since both should have dedicated RAM) but saying 9400+9600 would mean they are including the chipset GPU in SLI as well. Sounds like more trouble than it's worth.

Apple cuts the price on the high end, not the low end. While they rarely offer the best and most bad-assed hardware, their price on upper tier gear is usually fair to good. People that buy their "pro" lines get solid hardware that is well thought out. They're like Volvos, boxy but good. The only difference in the car analogy is Volvo drivers don't act like they're driving Aston Martins.

Glossy screens are a pain in the ass if you wear a white shirt in a well lit area. You have to crank up the backlight to max to overcome your own reflection on the screen. This knocks off a good chunk of your battery life. Since Stevo only wears black turtlenecks he's probably unaware of this fact. Maybe it won't be as big an issue with LED based screens.

I enjoyed Oblivion, but I cheated a lot to gain that enjoyment. There was no penalty (that I could detect) for not sleeping, you only leveled when you slept for an hour, and skills appeared to continue going up regardless of your level. So I played most of the game at level 9 and then when I got tired of those critters and gear, stopped "waiting" (which did not level you) and did 4 1 hour "sleeps". Then did the same thing later.

To me it was a very pretty sandbox game with a storyline. I expect more of the same with Fallout. I hope the voice acting is implemented better. I hope that generic bandits don't start out with with bows and hide armor in the beginning and then 10 hours into the game come equipped with chain lasers and plasteel powerarmor in the sameareas. We'll see.

Because most FPS games aren't set up to run like House of the Dead or Duck Hunt.

FPS and RTS are games developed for (and around) the KB/Mouse interface. The keyboard gives you easy access to a 100+ button controller for one hand and the mouse allows for both precision and speed.

If you give me a gun controller for a FPS I'm going to also need a Wii Fit board to stand on. Gun + Snowboard = Crazy Awesome.

Walmart sold Linspire systems as well. So some effective attempt at marketing it and getting product placement was made. Doesn't rule out embezzlement, but I think a good effort was made by the company to challenge the MS juggernaut. If I were a shareholder I would strongly question a lack of profit.
