I don't know about FC5 but I just updated a FC1 developer workstation to FDC4 yesterday without a hitch. Is the FDC1 pure FDC1 or does it have a lot of compiled / other packages? You might try FDC1 -> FDC4 ->FDC5, or something along those lines.
I have two daughters one learned to play lead guitar in less than a year she has mastered scales, modes, chords and can hear a song and play it. She practiced at first for about 2-3 hours a day for about 8 months. She got bored with the guitar and almost never plays it but when she does, she sounds great. My other daughter also plays, but she has been working on it for 10 years. They both had the same teacher and except Meghan quit after a year, Amanda stopped taking lessons after 4 years. She practices every day, plays in a band on weekends and is good. But she will be the first to admit that here sister is much better naturally and it really pisses her off. What Meghan has is incredible memory and an ear for music. Amanda cannot sing in tune, her pitch varies alot. Meghan has close to perfect pitch, not only vocally but can usually tell you the key.
The US exports a huge amount of iron ore. With China & India experiencing a huge amount of growth, the demand for iron ore is higher than it's ever been. Resources such as steel, iron, oil will continue to be needed worldwide.
You do realize that Gibson has a less expensive brand called Epiphone which is just about equivalent?
And Fender has Squire what's your point? Many Epiphones are in my shop needing the truss rods adjusted or have noisy pots. Gibson charges over 2 grand for an ES335, you can get an Epiphone Dot for $350, but there's a real good chance you'll be taking the Epi in for repairs in less than a year. Especially if your a beginner and don't know what to look for. Fender Squires usually have poor quality hardware too but at least the necks are straight coming out of the factory overseas.
Gibson...now there's a company to hate.
Can't agree more there. They are the most expensive "average" instruments I've seen. I work in a guitar store part time repairing guitars and setting them up. I've seen Korean made PRS guitars with the same quality and 1/4 to 1/8 the cost! We have a gibson mandolin that cost $11,000, we also sell two $1,000 Michael Kelly mandolins that are the same construction quality and to me sound better.
Exactly! This is why I don't buy CD's. I can get it cheaper. If the CD get's melted in my car no big deal and I have it on 2 computers and my ipod. I don't have to pay for the average of 8-10 tracks per CD I will never listen to because they are really just filler for the 2 if I'm lucky good tracks.
Plus I don't have to go to the store, or struggle with maintaining a connection to somebodys PC. Downloading from peer to peer can really be a pain since Napster's legal woes. I've had faster, more stable connections downloading linux distro's on dial up in the mid 90's than some experiences I've had using Limewire on a T1.
I was raised in Michigan, and we had the same problem. With 11,000 lakes not including the Great Lakes it makes a haven for them. I think the residents of any State with lakes in the thousands, like Minnesota and Michigan feel your pain. I now live in Virginia, unfortunately I'm close to the "Great Dismal Swamp". Is it wrong to want the extermination of one little species? I promise I will do all it takes to save the spotted owl or some other species. My daughter's legs look like she has the chicken pox.
I don't think having a sex offender hanging around is what they had in mind. I would look at his packets and connections, there might be a good chance he's breaking parole or release conditions. A little electronic snooping and you might not have to worry about him for a long time. It's seems to me if a sexual predator using your network but not coming inside, he's probably doing something that would get him in trouble inside the coffee shop. If he's just browsing, lock out his MAC address.
I am just waiting for the day that our bought and paid for legislators are kicked out of office.
Since the two political parties have a [monopoly|stranglehold|entitlement] to rule. You will never ever see change. Which ever party is in power at the time is corrupt. There really isn't much difference in either. And voters really don't have choice at all.
"they'll make you relocate near them so they don't have to travel 4 hours every time they have to attend a board meeting."
This can be a good thing! Many startups squander VC cash on unnecassary things. Venture capital is not necassarily always needed. Starting small and using small business loans can keep a company realistic about it's prospect and budget. When you trade your ownership for cash, expect to be 'owned'. If you run your own company, people will come to you. Yes, you will need to travel, but nobody will make you. And when you reach a point where either your company is bought right out or you go public, you profit. Not some guy with a lot of cash, looking to profit off your work.
I have a cluster of 45 dual Xeon processing nodes. Latencies average about 210 usec the same as could be expected in any 100Mbs connection, but using channel bonding my bandwidth is double that of a single ethernet connection. I don't have the need for faster, all our processes are wholly independent and don't need to do message passing.
Van Laere said he was told by Google that Web sites with illegal content would be removed from their index, but that it couldn't tweak the Suggest feature. So Van Laere filed suit, an action he said is an expensive option for a small company against a behemoth such as Google.
He's trying to get Google to change the Suggest results. Van Laere uses Google's tool for analyzing Web traffic and found that about 93 percent of ServerCheck's customers come to their Web site by way of the popular search engine.
"We don't have any problems with the fact that in Google you can find illegal copies of our software," Van Laere said. "There are people who will never buy the product at the end of the day.
So they really weren't harmed, they just want some google cash! I noticed they refiled the suit. Did the first one get thrown out? Why is litigation always the first thing companies do? It seems they can't try just working out their differences by communication. If 93 percent of your customers are coming by way of google, do they really want to have the term servercheck blocked? They can block porn because it's an input term, not an output suggestion. See the difference?
Really? try removing all the windowing code. Try running XP without the dll's and files required for windowing and widgets. Separate them totally and try and run just the dos part. If you do manage to do it, then run command.com and see what version is reported. It won't say NT or DOS, it will say Microsoft Windows XP [version 5.1.xxx] the same thing it says at the command prompt. Yes there is a kernel and yes there is a GUI, bundled together iternally. Together they make Windows but, saying they are separate is really only in your mind. Try and buy a Windows XP Disc Operating System, MS will still sell you MS DOS. Then try copying that over Windows XP, your system won't run. DOS didn't have or need a registry, windows does. Windows is an OS with Windowing included that's why it's called Windows. That's one of the rights of developing a kernel, you get to call it whatever you want. Even if you reused some code from your last product with a different name. Your confusing separate parts of the total architecture and applying your logic. If the kernel is named windows by MS it's windows no matter what you say.
That is also my method. I also use quanta+, which is usually a good indicator of how it will display in Konqueror & Safari. I have Macromedia studio and photoshop, but I always end up using quanta and the gimp. Old habits die hard.
Also every time this wiretap nonsense gets mentioned, remember that al Queda (according to the 9/11/01 report) got away with the attacks because _they did NOT use any electronic form of communication_.
They did use electronic communication, Bin Laden used a satellite phone and there is to this day a host of websites that use coded messages. Everytime a website is closed, 10 more spring up in it's place. There was a show on PBS that went in depth on how they communicate. There was this former Saudi citizen who was in Great Britain and set the whole thing up. The reporter was asking him if he feared getting caught. He said they couldn't because we don't play by the same rules as they do. He said on TV that he has taken precautions just in case. He was asked if he had instructions for an attack that would kill thousands, what would he do. He replied like I have always done, post it. He was asked what he thought of Great Britain he said they will be destroyed and there are no innocents. I don't know, if I had been the reporter, I probably would have shot him right then. No trial. After the London bombings all they did was deport him.
I love the design, it will need some work to make it display the same in all browsers but that really isn't all that difficult. I found that making a good cross browser display is just a matter of testing and tweaking. Unfortunately, many developers are just lazy. My site stats for our companies web app is running each month about 60% IE, 33% Mozilla based browsers and safari, konqueror, opera etc take up the rest. Who wants to chase away 40% of your customers? Getting good customer usage stats is critical in any website, the results can be enlightening. Running your site through a validator is always a great way to start.
Windows is not an Operating system. Windows is a desktop environment.
You need to go back to school, since when does a desktop environment have a kernel?
Your desktop environment is based on Microsoft Foundation Classes, but rest assured it is an operating system. If it weren't it would need one to operate. You cannot run KDE or GNOME without an underlying OS. Window's is an operating system an overview
of the windows kernel architecture proves you are confused.

I read somewhere the brain produces alot of heat. It needs to be able to be cooled easily. The brain in the center mass of the body would cool much slower, so it would be more difficult to maintain it's core temperature during illnes, physical stress and environmental heat. The fact the brains being located near the center body mass is not normal for any creature tells me there is a fundamental reason for it. What creature has a central body mass brain?
Okay, can anyone explain why software has 2 forms of Intellectual Property protection?
What other "invention" has both copyright and patents? If every single program is just a series of algorithms, built on top of digital logic circuits. What is the invention, the computer or the software? If it's the software, why does it need copyright if it's every single new piece of code is possibly patentable, and if not probably infringinging something somewhere?
Only if it had large oil deposits. I'm thinking of selling my gold coins for gas money!

Unfortunately I'm dislexic, all I got was goo that tastes like chicken.
Which is why OS X is terrible at threading.
Just like GW Bush is yours.
