It was science fiction. Science fiction is merely fantasy enabled by a fantastic scientific invention. Think about it. Even the most technologically mundane of the science fiction genre is a nerds' fantasy of what might happen given a specific fantastic advance in technology.
Entire human-replica societies inside computers and other dimensions is nothing new to science fiction.
You're rationalization does nothing to justify video piracy. If "You *want* to see an example of something done so poorly," then obviously you are providing the market for which copyright was originally intended.
Also you are definitely not the sole or ultimate judge of artistic value and monetary worth.
You should focus your arguments more towards the futility of using the fishnets of current copy protection to hold in the ocean of available video (and other) digital material. Also there is the argument that criminalizing a proven nationally accepted activity only leads to police states and prohibition style lack of any meaningful enforcement.
I know I'm replying a bit late, but the focus of my post was refering to the "Of History" part of the article, not the nature of the mistakes.
Also, the oil pipe explosion featured in the article was definitely not the type of mistake you are describing, so maybe we can use the term "mistake" a little more expansively, yes?
Another philosopher^H^H^H^H scientist has theorised another possible reason for mankind not perceiving an alien intelligent species. Next up, another possible reason that God may or may not exist. After that, discussion about the (un)certainty of the big bang.
The atomic clocks are set by a radio signal set by an algorithm on measurements of the atomic source in the atomic clock. All they have to do is adjust the algorithm, and the clocks will be accurate.
Another cottage industry gets swallowed up by corporations who are able to spread risk and cost among a pool of workers and goods. Wal-mart all over again. Just ask the Mom & Pop stores for a good reference.
By what definition is a balloon NOT a machine? . . . Thought so. Wait, you say he's not getting assistance from the balloon? You mean he floated up there on refried beans and hot air? The slash/short should have been written to say "without the aid of thrust".
It's a movie for crying out loud. There is no ethics to worry about, short of creating snuff films and/or underage porn, and this technology is even making those obsolete. The entire result falls under (incredibly involved) free speech.
Because the amount of transactions and the organization afforded by computerized accounting has made the workload nigh impossible to keep up with "the old fashioned way".

Math and logic problems don't follow normal implied rules of common English.
You are assuming, of course, that Americans have no ability to adapt to new transport paradigms as economics change.

Lol the video I linked as reference refers to the wind as "a stiff breeze."

Seriously, we have got to stop with the hyperbole before our children don't know the difference between a War on Drugs and a War in Iraq.
We we say of all time, I think of things like lead plumbing in Rome, or the suspension bridge that got tore apart by a mere breeze.

You wound ME.

Unfortunately, the words are darn near the only thing that matters with legislation.
My apologies, then. I still have yet to master British irony.
You failed logic, didn't you?

Why do you insist that only straight shots are proper?
Which is offset by the forces moving matter "uphill", which I assume happens with volcanoes and ridges mostly at the mid-ocean.

Please don't speak for me. You are obviously misinformed as to my (and a great many other's) speech patterns.
Seen Night of the Living Dead? I think Rozy Palm counts as a seperate persona there!
Whens the last time you tried to create anything interesting by stacking fish? Didn't think so!
Jokes aside, they are officially called Lego bricks. Lego itself is not plural, like fish or sheep or even caribou.
The main problem is that they have been so widely accepted into pop culture that their trademark is now genericized.
See for explanation this link:

Mod parent up. There is no good reason for this other than to facilitate the monitoring of users.

I'd like to see that done for the express purpose of getting milk from actresses.

Which isn't the same as using (all of) facebook, so you fail.
