It was a bit of hyperbole but there is some truth to it. Slap 1MM files into a folder and see what happens. I'll give you a hint...it unbearably slow and unprofessional.
I had to join the Insider program to get the damn 1809 update...now I know why. I was tired of getting my eyes fried by explorer and wanted the new dark theme for it. File integrity be damned.
Yeah but getting there right now costs a bloody fortune. You have to purchase Chinese hacked server hardware to do it. I'm looking forward to 1TB on the desktop. The frumpy sys admins laughed when we said we needed VMs with 1TB but we put it to good use. If you need to transform 10TB of data in a few minutes that amount is required...on top of face melting flash storage. This is the age of data...big data.
32GB is the bare minimum for me. My puny work laptop has 16gb and I have maxed it several times. Some are very productive and those people will always find a use for more RAM. I can't wait until 4TB nvme SSD drives are everyday meh.
Data ETL, and analytics can use anything you will give it. If the network can keep up I would love to be able to punt 100gb of data to a user and they would love working with it in RAM.
I don't see the difference. Microsoft rewrote Windows so the military could use it. Remember Windows NT? We are still running it. You could bar the military from using your software in the license agreement.
Just like the words in the Bible are facts which are contorted to caress an agenda? There they are on paper....and this is what they mean...trust me, God said so and he wrote this shit. You are pathetic.
This is a perfect example of the influence of the tech community. Many on Slashdot take a dim view of our ability to impact the wider discussion but we do. It is the small army of people like us who drive things like this. No one would be using DuckDuck without the influence of the privacy aware tech community. Same thing happens with browser choice. I attribute this to word of mouth. Track that shit Facebook.
Is this real or just counterintelligence to make competitors waste resources playing catch up?
If you pay me and empower me I will help. I'm not from a shitty west coast tech parasite though...does that go against me?
Five years. They have been talking about this since the 90s.

Hold up. Microsoft is shipping drivers for nVidia GPUs that are different from the manufacturer?
Yeah, it's just like those Chinese hack chips no one found in the Supermicro servers.
If they had courage they would remove the coward pedal.

Yeah...who would want to deal with that shit hole?
Yeah...its called taking your dollars elsewhere instead of making symbolic demands.
Until I tie it to some public Facebook data with my python scraper. Yawn. No one has any idea how much their privacy has dried up.
Done.
We all need to stop commenting on these click bait bullshit articles.
You can't just roll out renewables without cutting back dramatically. Cutting back is not a politically viable message. This is lip service.
Sharing a house with other people gives me the fucking Willie's. What is wrong with you people?
Listen to yourself. I better quit farting if we want these storms to subside. What a bitch.

Lifelong conservative here. Absolutely fuck Kavanaugh and the people who put him there. These people have no idea how bad they fucked up.
No. That's the media's job...to turn science into ads.

Dude...get a real job.
