If you did not work for a certain number of months at that job then you are not even eligible for it . If they can prove malice or fake it or show insubordination then you don't get it.

If you are unemployed, you can draw a chk for a few weeks, then you have to take whatever $hit job the unemployment service can find for you . ie. lawn car, shovelling horse stalls, steam cleaning hazardous material tanks.
