Finally! A PICK-like filesystem. Having worked with PICK database-like OS I found it's much easier and better to have data in database than in hierarchical structuure of files. Who in sane condition will put 10 real folders one into another?! Like in Russian Matryoshka, but folders?! The folders model has no real equivalent in office work.
In Russia when a first Russian printer started to print the copies of Apostol (deeds of Apostols), the hand copiers hated him and made his life really terrible...
You are forgetting about other, non-killing usage of animals: they can be milked (producing good cheese!), used as pets, used for riding and moving stuff.

If you want to see what happens when we will NOT eat the cows, you may just look to India, where a cow is a sacred animal. They use only milk from them.
1) People put too much value too suffering and less to death. Death is MUCH worse than any suffering. 2) Plants have no brains. It's inhumane to kill brain developed stuff.
A sick is to eat KILLED animals? If you go to Kansas, please visit Dodge City and feeding stations for cows near it. It's disgusting and torturing to see that cows and smell that...

Is this food being compliant to be cosher? Can it be lenten and be eaten in Christian fasting?
To what? I would like to ask you to show the examples of the professions that IT specialist can consider switching to.
- Math teacher?
- Cook ? what else?
Cool. For desktop. And now lets assume that it's a DATABASE SERVER which has no human interaction at all. It's in server room. Who then will be wearing the keychain with a key and/or entering a password?
Guess what? You already gives a lot of fingerprints to Kroger just by touching the check signing pad or touching a shopping cart. They just should use a little amount of black powder to get them.:)
When people say "the data on the computer should be encrypted" I usually reply "with what?" You cannot just encrypt the data, you can only encrypt a data with a key. Storing key on the same computer with the data is a waste of time and money, it's the same situation as storing the key from your apartment under the rug at the apartment's door. Of course some data can be mangled by MD5ng or SHAing (hashing) it - a good read about this (and related) technique is at Translucent Databases, but technically it's not an encryption.
Ahem... I see... I tend to agree. BTW, there is not a lot of free applications for Linux/UNIX-like for 1) heterogenous network backup (windows/Linux) 2) good wysiwig HTML editors... Freshmeat checked, thanks...
Outlook 2000,Lightwave, Photoshop, How much did you pay for that? Do you realize that this stuff is NOT free? Even if you are a student you pay for that by increased tuition fees. "Solve the interface issues with Linux, and you'll see support from companies like Adobe" I have Corel PhotoPaint on Linux since 1999. and happy with that. In Mandrake 9.0 there is no real interface issues. Try it! In fact unexperienced users find it much more intuitive than Win2000, for example.
BSOD on a drone... flying over Chicago... heh...
last two letters makes more sense...
Your brain. My brain works with associations, not
with hierarchy.

I tried to ask about exampleS that can accomodate
