... and nothing really bad happens. Lets look at mobile phones; for example in SE T 610-630 you can only run signed Mophun and limited Java code; in cheap models you cannot run anything not directly installed. Why not? I prefer this situation even to Symbian phones in which some viruses are already been created.
A better comparision is if you send a postcard, not a letter by FedEx. Email (and SMS)is like postcards - it's open by default. It can sit in technology queues in provider servers and in logs at least partially for a relatively long time and be observable and retrievable by personnel. Copying a postcard is a moral and copyright issue. A different story if you send an encrypted message... but it's not the case here.
Why run Windows in Linux, when you can run Linux in Windows. http://www.colinux.org I like it very much. I can work in X session in Linux while playing pinball and have my modem (strange Toshiba software modem, closed source:((( ) serviced by WinXP... Works great!
I think it may be a good idea to run vncserver inside that linux and a native Windows vncviewer outside. What do you think?

Erlang (http://www.erlang.org) has it. You can have multiple linked interpreters and even fault-tolerant database! It is a scripting language. From the FAQ: 1.1. In a nutshell, what is Erlang? Erlang is a general-purpose programming language and runtime environment. Erlang has built-in support for concurrency, distribution and fault tolerance. Erlang is used in several large telecommunication systems from Ericsson. The most popular implementation of Erlang is available as open source from the open source erlang site.
- It is usually with you and having it don't make you geek. - It's smaller and easier to fit in pocket. - Usually GPRS is available and easier to use than other wireless methods available for PDAs - Having Java, at least compatible with Turing machine:) - will fly! - Or having WAP+GPRS and webmin shell connection - same thing (but unsecure:) - Address book is safe, it's in flash, possibly also copied into SIM card and can be immediately transmitted to your online address book. Having had a lot of troubles with the power-dependent RAM in PDAs, I can say that it's really a good feature.
Actually, there was a research saying that if you nap in the office, your productivity increases after that a lot. But at home you can just get up later... and I can agree that if you got enough sleep at night you will not need naps. A good advice is to try not to get more than 8 hours of sleep. More sleep than 8 hours usually lead to depression. Also try to work near the window or in patio, sunshine related to melatonine level in brain, lack of melatonine is causing depression too. Keep in mind that if you are in cubicule you cannot usually have that "luxury" - a mere window.
If you have a statically-linked version of game, you wouldn't need to compile anything. Just to have _kernel_ that is compatible by syscalls. (the size of module will be large, but who counts megabytes in game distributions now, anyway?)
I recently bought a disk with "Good Linux games" It was almost completely unusable - it contained.rpms and source code. I have Mandrake and.rpms won't run for me. I would prefer _statically compiled_ versions of all games which are in that CD with the sources and other stuff needed by GPL.
The only two problems with desktop linux that needs to be overcomed are Pre-installation on new PC by default on mainstream computers Support by the mainstream computers' builders.
1) Porting from Delphi to Kylix is hard. Because Delphi developers usually use some Windows native methods and/or proprietary components. 2) Delphi world is waiting for a good.net version. After that, it'll be possible to run Delphi applications using mono without recompiling and other hard work.

Install Colinux
and use it as one of the tasks, having Linux and Windows benefits for a very low price, legally.
Guess what? A lot of vision will be saved, with 800x600 people will stop seeing these smallish fonts and icons!
Avg income is about $200-300/month for a slightly skilled worker (NOT IT), for IT and sales its about $600 and up.
What about Sharp 777?

In Russia, a 911 is split to
01 - Fire
02 - Police
03 - Ambulance
04 - Emergency gas service
A 112 is a number somewhere like Germany (not sure). Also it's an emergency number for cell phones.
