    Wouldn't it be simple for the console makers to implement some type of lockout similar to the cable tv box and dvd players? As a responsible parent I set my digital cable box to block out anything over G so my 6 year old isn't subjected to certain shows unless I am with him watching the show.

    He won't.. most of the 16:9 TV's have a 'JUST' mode which stretches the screen at the ends filling up the screen entirely (and not looking that bad either).

    Returns are sent in USPS mailers - netflix picks up the tab. I started a trial account two months ago - today i still receive my picks within 1-2 days of adding them to my queue. The get mailed back (in my case) to a distribution center in CT.

    By platform - they mean hardware/software. Solaris has maintained the #1 ranking for quite some time. Gartner/Dataquest has had Sun listed as the #1 Unix Platform for a long time (even though market share is decreasing). Instead of sharing a sun.com link -- her's something recent from news.com basically reiterating the #1 Unix Platform statement.

    Back in the 70's the Telco technicians in Connecticut (SNET land before SBC took over) used to go strolling throughout neighborhoods knocking on doors and listen for ringing phones (dialed from the tech out on the pole) to see if they had more phones connected than they paid for.

    I live in a State (CT) that has such a list but we still receive numerous unsoliticed calls and subsequent hangups when we inform them they've violated state law. Problem is that the state apparently doesn't have juristiction and/or not enough bandwidth to go after some of the out of state companies. I'm all for a Federal list.

    In this day of suprious litigation by the record companies, etc. doesn't it make sense for Apple to cover their ass and make sure they don't become part of a lawsuit by enforcing their license? It's just one hassle they don't need to deal with right now IMO.
