Wouldn't it be simple for the console makers to implement some type of lockout similar to the cable tv box and dvd players? As a responsible parent I set my digital cable box to block out anything over G so my 6 year old isn't subjected to certain shows unless I am with him watching the show.
Play everwars!
It will be released as soon as M$ releases Visual Cobol. (I actually had a running bet with a CS professor who insisted that they would see the light and release one by 2000.)
He won't.. most of the 16:9 TV's have a 'JUST' mode which stretches the screen at the ends filling up the screen entirely (and not looking that bad either).
Returns are sent in USPS mailers - netflix picks up the tab. I started a trial account two months ago - today i still receive my picks within 1-2 days of adding them to my queue. The get mailed back (in my case) to a distribution center in CT.
Just in case you don't know -- George Foreman has 10 kids. 5 Boys (all named George) and 5 girls.. Seems like he got knocked in the head one too many times.
Every McDonalds i've ever been to has at least a half dozen microwaves to heat/reheat food. I have a problem with one at my house -- how are they going to shield them?
By platform - they mean hardware/software. Solaris has maintained the #1 ranking for quite some time. Gartner/Dataquest has had Sun listed as the #1 Unix Platform for a long time (even though market share is decreasing). Instead of sharing a sun.com link -- her's something recent from news.com basically reiterating the #1 Unix Platform statement.
Back in the 70's the Telco technicians in Connecticut (SNET land before SBC took over) used to go strolling throughout neighborhoods knocking on doors and listen for ringing phones (dialed from the tech out on the pole) to see if they had more phones connected than they paid for.
"But telemarketers say 27 existing state do-not-call lists and a voluntary national list run by the Direct Marketing Association trade group should provide consumers enough protection."
I live in a State (CT) that has such a list but we still receive numerous unsoliticed calls and subsequent hangups when we inform them they've violated state law. Problem is that the state apparently doesn't have juristiction and/or not enough bandwidth to go after some of the out of state companies. I'm all for a Federal list.

In this day of suprious litigation by the record companies, etc. doesn't it make sense for Apple to cover their ass and make sure they don't become part of a lawsuit by enforcing their license? It's just one hassle they don't need to deal with right now IMO.
That's nothing. It's transparent aluminum we're all waiting for.
You don't have to wait long.. is taping out a 8-core CPU as we speak.
Check out http://www.broadq.com/qcast2.htm
Supports MP3, Ogg Vorbis, AC3, MPEG-1/2/4, Divx 3,4,5 OGM and more...
Both foxnews and drudgereport have these currently on their front page headlines.. I saw it there first.
Just think - Rosie O'donnell, Oprah Winfrey, and Martha Stewart all taken care of in one mission.
Did anyone look at this quickly and think it looks alot like tinkertoys?

Isn't it obvious... it's an I/O port.

Shouldn't this be from the George, George, George, George, and George department?
Once again -- people just don't read before they post.
What a bunch of bull.
Is this more than a handful or less?
