administration password is openly transmitted. We found that logging out in
the remote administration menu didn't always actually log out. We found
Javascript errors. With the 2.4 firmware, more than one client can be logged
in at the same time. That situation, two clients at the same time, would give
an error message with the 2.3 firmware, so things seem to be going backward in
some ways, in firmware that is already shaky. Our experience with Netgear
technical support is that it is very limited. On the telephone we got someone
in Tamil Nadu, India, who was allowed to practice for a short time with
Netgear equipment, but who doesn't any longer have access to actual equipment.
The online tech support just gave error messages. Not only that, but Fry's and
Netgear arranged a rebate trick. They have a very long rebate receipt, and ask
you to enter your address both at the top and at the bottom. If you don't
enter it at the bottom, they deny your rebate.

I was prepared to believe the Bush documents were forgeries because of reading someone's comment before I saw the documents. However, when I saw the documents, I laughed. The Bush documents contain an artifacts, such as a shift in baseline, that is characteristic of the typesetting machines of the time.
I think I have provided valuable information below about the plausibility of the documents. The information gives perhaps useful ideas about how to continue the CBS investigation.
It is ENTIRELY IRRELEVANT to the Bush documents that some machine that a critic has chosen cannot do typesetting. Critics should just choose another machine that can.
Decades ago, it sometimes happened that I would go to some company that did both typesetting and typing to pick up my typing, and be handed, not pages of typing, but pages of typesetting film. Sure the letter looked wonderful, but typesetting was so psychologically powerful back then that the fact that a letter was typeset would distract the reader from the message. (It should be obvious that I copied the letter from the typesetting film to a piece of paper.)
Why did she typeset the letters? Maybe she was training someone in how to use the typesetting machine. Maybe she discovered that she didn't have any more of the one-use carbon ribbons. Or maybe she was just lazy, as in one of the incidents that happened to me.
NOTHING about what you see when you print a document typed in Times New Roman in Microsoft Word has ANYTHING WHATSOEVER to do with either Microsoft Word or Microsoft Corporation.
On the computer I am using to type this, Times New Roman is supplied to me as the file times.ttf, dated 08/29/2002, 05:00 AM. If you look at the file with a tool that can view binary, you will see this message, and a lot of other heavy-duty legal language:

Open Office did not automatically superscript the "th". I didn't like that superscripting thirty years ago, and I don't like it now. Only a company like Microsoft, that has limited interest in idealistic products, would make the superscripting of "th" automatic. she was thinking of leaving him because of his drinking.

I first got started studying the Bush family's alcoholism and alcoholism in general because an alcoholic friend claimed that "George W. Bush is one of us. I spent years with alcoholics, and I know how they act":

Since he did not excel at athletics, being a cheerleader was the only way he

Here's an important thing to know, from someone who has had women friends from many nations. For some reason for which I have only partly adequate theories, women in the United States are going through a very bad period in the last decades. They are often unbelievably unhappy, far more unhappy than can be explained by their obvious individual circumstances.

Anyhow, the main point stands. Being a cheerleader was certainly not evidence of being gay. At that time, gays did not want notoriety or public attention.
Common mistake: It is not about oil. It is about who controls, and profits from, the oil contracts. The oil would appear on the market regardless of who controls the contracts.

The point is that being a cheerleader conferred social benefits. If you weren't an athlete, the only way to get those benefits was as a cheerleader. Andover is a feeder school for Yale, and, supposedly, the customs were a lot the same.

I find it really, really frightening that you did not already know the things in the book. There's nothing particularly remarkable, if you understand the issues from other sources. The interview discusses someone who said he thought George W. Bush was involved with a prostitute. It should not come as a surprise that an alcoholic abused sexuality. I don't know if George W. Bush was involved with a prostitute, but such a story does not seem surprising for an admitted alcoholic. They usually abuse sexuality. For example, Dick Cheney was known as a drinker and "womanizer" when he worked in Wyoming as CEO of Halliburton.
(George W. Bush admitted only to years of problem drinking, but said he did not think he was an alcoholic. However, this is normal behavior for alcoholics, to deny that they are alcoholics.)
The book just lists things you would hear if you did the research yourself. If you go out to ask people, and 10 people who don't know each other all say that they had knowledge of an abusive drunk, it begins to have credibility. Bush has admitted publicly his problems with alcohol, and his wife Laura Bush told him she was thinking of leaving him because of his drinking.

The U.S. government is building 16 permanent bases in Iraq. This was mentioned in the debate tonight. They apparently want control over the oil. They apparently care about nothing else. A democratic country is one that has control over its own resources.
The record seems to show that George W. Bush became a cheerleader because he wanted to be close to the campus leaders, who were, at the time, athletes. Since he did not excel at athletics, being a cheerleader was the only way he could be one of the student leaders. The captain of the cheerleaders was part of the social group that included the captains of the teams.
George W. Bush was an obnoxious alcoholic then. The culture of alcoholics is very different from the male gay culture. There is no hint George W. Bush was gay. He was interested in partying, and being close to the student leaders was a way to be involved in the parties. Two of his arrests came from stunts that seem like something a drunk person would do. One matter that needs to be corrected in my comment above: Preston Bush, George W. Bush's grandfather, was a man with genuine political ability. Yes, he was an alcoholic who was threatening toward his children, but he also often served well in the Senate.

That was not the most important network footage in Fahrenheit 9/11, however. The most important was the video of George W. Bush holding hands with "Prince Bandar", a Saudi Arabian representative of the present Saudi government. The Bush family has such a close relationship with Bandar that they call him, "Bandar Bush". According to a tape from Osama bin Laden, the principle reason for the terrorism of al Qaeda is that the U.S. government is interfering with needed political change in Saudi Arabia.
