"The Briton was indicted in 2002 by a federal grand jury on eight counts of computer-related crimes in 14 different states.
It claimed that he hacked into an army computer at Fort Myer, Virginia, obtained administrator privileges and transmitted codes, information and commands.
Unauthorised access
He is accused of then deleting around 1,300 user accounts.
The indictment alleged Mr McKinnon also deleted "critical system files" on the computer, copied a file containing usernames and encrypted passwords for the computer and installed tools to gain unauthorised access to other computers.
A loss of over $5,000 (£2,725) to the Army stemmed from the alleged damage, according to the indictment."
So in the space of three years, $5K becomes $100M? Nice rate of return, if you can get it...
"In 1947, after the Second World War, ITU held a conference in Atlantic City with the aim of developing and modernizing the organization. Under an agreement with the newly created United Nations, it became a UN specialized agency on 15 October 1947, and the headquarters of the organization were transferred in 1948 from Bern to Geneva."
It's tragic (and deeply dishonest) the way UN-bashing (Kyoto-bashing, ICC-bashing...) is becoming a hackneyed tool of American unilateralists and imperialists seeking to justify their arrogant disregard for the rest of the world. So much is being lost through one nation abusing its unbalanced position of power in the world.
Needing answers to the same question, yesterday i bought a copy of this book:
Managing Imap
Perhaps you should get hold of it too. It covers the whole IMAP thing and Cyrus and UW in detail.
If you are not worried about using proprietary s/w, and want something easy to set up for testing, have a look at Communigate. This is a complete mailserver solution, very quick to install set up configure, has an IMAP module and lots more. A licence costs $$ but the free version is identical save for a 1-line- text advert appended to outgoing emails. (Linux versions available, don't know how it would fit with Gentoo though)

I set this decimal clock ticking at the start of Y2K. Not bothered about the earth's rotation, i standardisted on the (imperial) second. This gives us a decimal day of approximately 28 imperial hours. Every four (decimal) days or so my waking hours overlap with yours...
if it's good enough for David Hockney...
