    I agree with you that they won't support it on non-Macs, but not selling to the general public? That's just insane! OS X is currently sold to the general public, it's just that it does you no good if you don't have the hardware to run it on...

    After the announcement was made last week, I began to wonder about something. Was the Intel mini that was unveiled a few weeks ago made with Apple's blessing? Proof that Apple could very easily rerelease their iMac mini with an Intel chip/guts?

    Interesting statement to make. Especially considering consoles previously had 5 year lifespans, which just got shortened to 4 years with the current generation...

    I've learned that flushing after getting up helps keep your ass dry. Nothing like having fecal splashback hit you after you've already wiped...

    According to the Guardian article someone posted:
    Comedic value is determined by multiplying the recognisability of the main character (R) by their delusions of grandeur (D). This is added to the verbal wit of the script (V) and the total is multiplied by the amount someone falls over or suffers a physical injury (F).

    "The difference in social status between the highest- and lowest-ranking characters (S) is added and finally the total is divided by the success of any scheme or stratagem in the show (A). Each term in the formula is assigned a value up to a maximum of 10 to give an overall scientific score."

    A few comments on Japanese CDs. I've read several places (since I've never actually been to Japan) that Japanese CDs tend to cost more than the imported from the US and Euro version. As an incentive to keep people from buying the US and Euro versions, they've resorted to including extra tracks, lyric sheets, stickers, etc. However, these lyric sheets are oftentimes not "official." They are transcriptions made by someone listening to the CD and writing down what they believe are they lyrics. I've bought several Japanese CDs where the included lyrics have some nice Engrish in them, and others where the included lyrics don't match up with the official published versions of the lyrics (via officially sanctioned sheet music, offical band website lyric listings, etc). Just thought I'd mention these things...

    Pssst. Try disabling the Quicktime system tray icon in the Quicktime prefs. That will get rid of qttask for you. It's amazing how many people get upset when their bruteforce methods don't work, yet the program does exactly what it's supposed to when asked nicely...

    Who's to say that it ever even worked? All you need to do is say "I have a webserver that runs at (insert ridiculously slow speed)" and get it posted to slashdot. After that noone will even question whether it was even up. They'll just joke about how quickly it was slashdotted. Not that I doubt that this machine does/did exactly what is claimed, I'm just sayin...
