    Not exactly.

    The BestBuy/Google model is to upload all your music. No different than if you copied the mp3 files to a drop box account or an external hard drive (though the RIAA may see it differently).

    The MP3.com model is to gracenote your CD and unlock access to their rip of it.

    The iTunes Match model is similar to the MP3.com model but you can upload songs they don't have and (more importantly) THE RECORD COMPANIES ALL AGREED TO IT BEFOREHAND.

    There's also the amazon model which is to similar to the mp3.com model, but only for mp3s you purchased on amazon. The RIAA may not like that.

    My understanding is the naive swap will still be naive (unless the compiler does some really fancy optimizing). The r-value version is tmp = std::move(b); b = std::move(a); a = std::move(tmp); or tmp = & b = & a = &

    gcc and clang will optimize multiple bit field sets into one or two and/or operations.

    I didn't have a speed problem with my NSLU2 (not overclocked), but the memory (32M) seemed insufficient. It doesn't matter how fast your processor is if you spend 90% of your time swapping.

    Otherwise you could just take whatever GPL code you can find and say "They've given it away, so their revenue losses are $0 and there's no damages to pay".

    That's right but you're still wrong as you can sue for specific performance. The court could order the violator to follow the terms of the GPL (ie, stop distributing or make the source code available).

    all those fancy new javascript engines that compile down to native code work much faster on x64 than on x86. Also, with firefox's memory leaks, 4 gigs isn't enough.

    clang doesn't generate code itself, it uses llvm to actually generate the code, which is generally comparable to gcc (sometimes better, sometimes worse). Regardless, clang has better algorithms than gcc, more modular code, better design, easier to understand, etc.

    On the Mac, CS doesn't stand for "Creative Suite", it stands for "Complete Shit". I like Dreamweaver on Windows (though I liked it better before Adobe fucked it up) and bought it on the Mac but threw it out in favor of Coda. (Another possibility in MacLand is Espresso, too.).

    If I was a rubytard, I would probably recommend nanoc or jekyll.
