    Consider the iPhone. Apple went to Verizon and said "Hey, we have this phone. But we need you to add support for visual voicemail. Also, you're going to act as a dumb pipe only (did we mention the reasonably priced unlimited data plan?). We'll handle the ringtones, music, wallpaper and anything else like that. One more thing: you'll give us a cut of the monthly revenue."

    That was too much innovation for Verizon, so AT&T got the exclusive deal.

    The article doesn't go into detail, but since it's PNG, that suggest they're using ancillary chunks (iTXt/tEXt/zTXt) to store the torrent data. If that's the case, pngcrush or converting to another image format would kill the torrent.

    Name me one school that still uses old Macs, especially ones in Mexico where the price disparity between a Mac and non-Mac computer is amplified. A couple weeks ago I saw a couple power macs running OS 9 (or maybe even 8) on a local news fluff piece. I think they were being used for the school a/v program.

    The most recent news I've heard on PS3 content was that it would be available at the end of June, following a game update required to use it.

    I don't know about you, but where I come from, it's now July.

    No DLC, no update, no news.

    It's a linux kernel, not necessarily a distribution in any meaningful sense. They could simplify it to the linux kernel, loader, some libraries, and chrome executable. I suppose they would need a shell, scripts, and helper apps for network config and dhcp, but For a browser-based internet device, 99% of a standard linux distro is irrelevant.

    The iTunes app store has 50,000 apps. Every one needed to be written from scratch or ported to an environment that has only been in existance for a year and a half.

    Apple is once again circling the drain. Maybe they should hire Michael Dell as CEO so he can shut down the company and return any leftover money to the shareholders.

    The WSJ does provide compelling, unique content. Maybe not for you, but for a lot of people. In the print world, they're the #2 newspaper. (Number 1 is USA Today, largely due to hotel deals)
