    I've seen those 700 meg, 90 mins-2 hour movies from kazaa, etc. The quality is crap. I'd rather pay the $20 a DVD costs not to have to subject my eyes to that torture. There's more artifacting than image. 200 meg for 44 minutes is even worse.

    At 450-500 meg/44 min episode the quality becomes pretty decent.

    And you claim you're picky on the quality.

    Read the specs...320x240 pixels (very low res), and compressed so that a 22 minute show takes 200 meg (very small)....The previous responded had a good summary; like crap.

    I know this was intended as a joke, but it might be good for wikipedia.

    Lately I'm finding more "missing" articles than problem ones. Topics that should be there but aren't. Maybe they could have some sort of bounty system to get people to write these missing articles. Of course, that would require paid editors to approve the entires before a payment can be made.

    People spend a lot of money on fancy coffins that nobody will (ideally) see again. Does that mean the coffine is there to give the person a tribute and make more money for the funeral industry, so taping a goatse image to the inside makes no difference?

    Nice try, but a Celeron does not out perform a G4 at comparable clock speed. The XPC K is so big and heavy compared to a mini, why even bother with SFF if you're going to get that?

    *most* PC laptops aren't as powerful as a mac mini. They have crapy low end CPUs that make a 1.42 GHz G4 look blazingly fast.

    Also, I have a 12" powerbook which is tiny as laptops go, and if you say laptops are more compact that a mac mini, you haven't seen a mac mini.

    Evolution selects favorable traits and removes unfavorable ones from the gene pool. Modern medicine and science all people who would be weeded out by evolution to live fairly normal lives and remain a part of the gene pool.

    Are you unaware of the fact that the deluge of bad patents also impacts the consumer? Do you think these companies just eat the legal fees to defend themselves against these crappy patents? Do you really believe that Apple will, out of the goodness of their heart, just absorb the legal costs out of their profits? They explain why shareholders should be saddled with this increase in the cost of doing business.

    You're implying apple will raise prices to compensate for their legal fees. Apple already charges what they believe is the maximum prices the market will pay for their products. If they could raise prices to cover legal fees they'd have already raised them to increase thei profits.

    I am not picking on apple here; all companies do that.

    Yeah, like how the billions of dollars spent on the space program benefit everyone...or money spent on public health care...or public schooling...

    All these are essential but they don't benefit EVERYONE. There is probably nothing that does.
