IMHO this is a poor argument. Just because something that makes you inibriated and therefore unproductive is legal does not mean that the majority of law-abiding citizens will allow it to interfere with their lives.

Alcohol has a similar effect on the body as weed, albeit in larger amounts. Its legal, so anyone of age can drink as much as they want, and whenever they want, but you don't see the majority of people going to work drunk or hungover.

If MJ was legal, the majority of people would smoke casually (much like they drink causually) and not allow it to interfere with their lives and jobs.

but if you are in Software engineering (which at my university - waterloo http://www.uwaterloo.ca/ (which im going to guess you are at as well), which is a joint engineering / math program you recieve a Bachelors of Software Engineering.

Yes, but you can't typically buy only 10 shares of a stock, let alone a single share.

Let's say that Google's minimum share purchase is 50 shares (typical amount), that 50 * 200 = $10,000. Now that's a lot of money, and most individual investors don't have that money to invest.

I have personally run Microsoft Anti-Spyware and both Spybot and Ad-Aware. M$ Anti-spyware did a much better job at finding spyware and it was able to fix one nasty bit of spyware that kept killing my system tray.

But even if most of us in the /. community refuse to use Microsoft product there are millions of people who are massively infected with spyware and have absolutely no clue what to do, or what has happened to make their computers so slow and not work.

I have seen this first hand for a residence computer consultant for a large university network. I would have had to make far less visits to the floor of 50 girls that I was assigned to [not that I minded to much ;)]. if microsoft had automatically installed Anti-Spyware with Windows Updates.

Because of their control of the OS market, especially among clueless users, Microsoft MUST contribute to the anti-spyware fight!!

Microsoft, or any other company would not not have a EULA! They need to cover their assess.

I thought the long answer was really, really easy. The Case Study question was like copying out of the appendix. The hardest thing was a bit of Binary Tree Functions, but even that was a standard algorithm (insert).

And to comment on what someone else said earlier, that there should be more less focus on implementation. There is in a way, methods that you don't need are encapsulated and you only need to worry about what you have to write.

No, you are allowed previous exams. The AP group releases them at different times for different subjects but the usual is 3 years.
You are not supposed to discuss your MC questions, ever. Just because they may be released in four years doesn't change that fact. The programming question sheet is usually given back in a few days, so that can always be discussed.

FYI I wrote the exam Tuesday (and Eng Lang mon, Calc today) 3 more to go (Eng Lit, Chem, Physics)

Not to long ago, a software engineering degree didn't exist and the major programmers were C.E. grads. In the grand scheme of things S.E. is relatively new and is based on a large part of C.E. with more focusing on Software and less on hardware (obviously).

As for C.E grads not knowing how to code, that's a load of bullshit.
