    H2 technology is coming along nicely and could soon be powering vehicles and be used for storage.

    We've already got a really big nuclear reactor.
    It's called the sun.
    It distributes power with light which we can safely convert to electricity with solar panels.
    About 150M Kms is about as close as we should get to a nuclear reaction of any type.

    He's also selling us batteries which last from 3 to 10 years - built in obsolescence, ongoing sales.
    Using Apple type proprietary connectors to try and corner the market.
    Brash marketing hype. The guys a great salesman.
    But he's going to fail when he is displaced by new technology, possibly hydrogen.
    Don't invest in Tesla, it's a "thunderbird" - flies in ever decreasing circles till it flies up it's own ass in a clap of thunder.

    A good location for solar powered charging stations would be shopping centre car parks. Also providing shaded parking and battery backed up power to the shopping centre. Use a drone to map shading to optimise solar power production. It's a project that wins all round.

    Security needed for a truly decentralised, peer2peer network has to be based on a trustworthy, audit-able network topology.
    We haven't got that yet.
    A modifiable, software based network is chasing it's proverbial tail to try to patch security leaks without trusted base hardware and protocols.
    We haven't gone far from the old days of the centralised mainframe and client terminal paradigm.
    The corporations control the data and application silos holding the world at ransom for their profits.
    People create ideas and have to take back ownership of their personal IP.
    Individuals have to work cooperatively outside the corporate structure as partners, not wage slaves.

  13. I used to be a dysfunctional child and now prefer reduced functionality caused by tight security. Privacy Badger is my latest ally in fighting 'the man'.
    When you get to a web page full of blanks that doesn't make a lot of sense you get to realise how much we are being taken for a ride.
    Pictures, videos, tables can be tracking us, they used to be called viruses.
    Now it is just accepted as normal for companies to automatically provide us with what we want to experience.

    When Google has wind/solar on every installation, actually creating the vast amounts of electricity their servers, etc consume, then I'll applaud.
    Ahhh, got it, they have created virtual electricity. It's over in fucking Norway.
    And they really think paying a power company extra will get renewables built ?
    Nuuu, they will suck that up in profits, and crow about how good they are, just like Google is.

    My workshop is fully solar powered and returns extra power to the grid, real electricity powering real machinery, right there.
