Humans have one more layer over the primate brain which makes us unique.

Obviously humans are smarter than primates, but they still feel pain and have emotions. What gives us the right to keep them in a cage and perform painful tests on them? How would you like it if some gorillas came to your house at night and took your kids for testing or eating?

Researchers have no preference for torture

I think putting harmful chemicals in eyes, or feeding animals dangerous stuff to see if they get cancer would be considered torture. Maybe torture isn't their main goal, but thats what's going on.

If it going to be done anyway, then instantanious and painless would be good. I don't think this is always the case especially in places where they don't have modern equipment.

How about killing humans humanely for food?

IMO, not much different than killing animals, except that a human could tell you how much it sucked living in a cage your whole life then being killed. Personally I don't have as much of a problem with the actual killing (everybody dies), but more with the poor conditions on farms, and the downright torture with animal testing.

I don't think your analogy is accurate. A man being run over would be accidental. Murduring would be purposeful. Eating meat obviously isn't accidental. The only difference between murduring a person and eating meat is the fact that it's a human, not an animal. Also, in the case of animal experimentation on monkeys, they are 98% like humans anyway.

    Besides, vegetarians kill plants.

Give me a break. Plants don't have nervous systems like animals. Therefore don't feel pain or suffer like when you pour chemicals in their eyes or cut their throat.

Another incident, someone printed or obtained fake checks with my name on them. With the present system anyone with a laser printer can make checks and anyone who works at restaurant or gas station can collect credit card numbers. At least this system will hopefully make it harder. And hopefully if someone does steal your card or something you won't be held accountable for damages.

This is information that plenty of ex-wives/girfriends would have access to, not to mention the person from the bank I just told.

A couple of years ago someone apparently printed out checks from a laser printer with my name on them. Any jack-ass with a descent laser printer can make checks and a fake id.

Also today my wife's purse was stolen. I was helping her call credit card companies to cancel her cards. But the credit card companies wouldn't let me cancel them because I obviously wasn't my wife even though I had the answers to all their lame "security" questions.

The whole entire system is fucked up and easily beaten.

No, I did read a similar case about a two year old that was like 10 pounds or something. I think a vegan diet may work for some people but not for others. My daughter is two years old on a vegetarian (not vegan) diet. She is about a head taller than anyone else her age, not fat, and seems very smart for her age. She also has not been sick or to the doctor besides her normal checkups. If she showed any signs of ill health I would certainly reevaluate her diet. Most kids I know her age have colds or ears infections much of the time. She clearly is much healthier than her freinds on the McDonalds diet! Maybe we should start convicting people who feed their kids this crap.
