    Amsterdam (Netherlands) is getting old.

    The infrastructure could be much more efficient if they blow up and then re-build everything from scratch.

    Would the trouble outweight the gains?

    And I'm not talkin about lost nostalgia here.

    OK - the analogy sucks, but it shows that something being old should not be the only aspect for deciding what should be rebuilt.

    128kbit mp3 sounds a bit 'metalic', especially with some particular sound effects or instruments, like clapping audience. Ogg has other audible characteristics on low rate bitrate. Distortion is audible, no question about it.

    What good is the site if it is not being used? I find it a bad reason to not post the URL.

    If it shuts down we have to move over to another. People will always find a way to share the torrents. Let it be to as many people as possible.

    I'd like to state that in this case a layer lower than the virtual machine is not working.

    If the virtual machine is not working properly, it's like running an x86 executable on a sparc.
